AIBU?
to think your arse cheeks should be WITHIN your shorts, rather than hanging out.

Just walked up a hill behind 2 of the (much) younger generation.
It is a hot day. Shorts are good. But these girls in front of me had shorts of a length I would have regarded PE knickers to be in the late 80's /90's.
Is this a 'thing' now, to have your arse cheeks on display? I thought outer clothing was meant to cover them. AIBU?

Are you new to mumsnet? All you're going to get is "How dare you comment on someone else's body!" "people can dress how they like!" And other sorts of righteous indignation....
However, YANBU, I think it's utterly unfashionable and looks terrible. You do wonder why their parents don't tell them to take a look in a mirror.

yes. due to being a bit drunk I am armed with belligerence so I don't care if people are all 'they can do what they want'
I just though that I wouldn't expect men/boys to go around with their arse cheeks out…so why should women? Women can go around with their bellies out (crop tops ) but arse cheeks? Seriously?

some shorts are v short... it's particularly bad when the knickers are bigger!! Im guilty of some arse cheek showing on beach or v hot days - the downside to a sticking out bottom and small waist (I'm 28 if that makes a difference - couldn't care less what people think, I hate being uncomfortably hot!)

34 and my arse cheeks regularly get shown.
I like my arse cheeks.
I do think there is a lot of pressure on women to look sexy and sometimes I question why I choose to dress like this. But sometimes I just think 'whatever' and go with it.
Doesn't matter what women wear, someone will comment on it.
