We live in a democracy! We have the right to vote whoever we chose.

By all means educate or express the reasons why you are voting for x.

But stop insulting or trying to guilt people into choosing the same vote as you.

You reached your decision using your own mind. So therefore let others!! Ffs.

Wine cheers to that!

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 07/06/2017 19:14

Left or right, red or blue - I am bored shitless with halfwits meme-ing me to death with factually incorrect cartoons.

olliegarchy99 · 07/06/2017 19:16

Yes! absolutely Gin

PortiaCastis · 07/06/2017 19:16

Yes mud slinging abuse and smears do not get anybody anywhere and those perpetrating the silly insults need to give their heads a wobble

Looking forward to looking down the AIBU page to see actual AIBU posts rather than don't vote for these because and don't vote for those because....

No doubt we'll have a week of woe is us threads before we settle down to normal!

Lookforthelight · 07/06/2017 19:21

What's worse is that Friday is going to be full of I'm leaving this country threads and we're all doomed threads.

I think regardless of who's in power, it's going to be a rocky few years ahead.

Oh my Christ, yes!

Fed up to the back teeth of virtue signallers on Facebook with posts asking people to identify themselves as conservative voters so they can be defriended or "persuaded" not to. I'm not even voting bloody Tory but it makes me want to out of pure thrawness

SootSprite · 07/06/2017 19:23

Well said OP. Roll on Saturday when it's all done and dusted.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/06/2017 19:24

I've got one particular friend who has announced he is moving to Inverness (not quite sure why but there you go) after every election and referenda in the last 7 years. It goes so far as to block g my feed for at least a week after with rightmove links and professions of love for Nicola Sturgeon. He's still here and we live about 500 miles away from Inverness!

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 07/06/2017 19:26

I was actually thinking of not voting Tory this time (Brexit) but the lefty sanctimony has brought the blue glint back into my eyes ....think the Tory majority here last time was 25000 so academic in my case I guess

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/06/2017 19:26

Left or right, red or blue - I am bored shitless with halfwits meme-ing me to death with factually incorrect cartoons.

Best quote of the election so far 😁

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 07/06/2017 19:26

This will be the 10th general election I have voted in and the first I haven't voted Labour. I am paying no attention to the Corbynistas on here.

purpleprincess24 · 07/06/2017 19:27

Yes yes yes please let Facebook get back to videos of cute puppies

First thing I did when the election was announced was to ban the discussion of it at the dinner table

ForalltheSaints · 07/06/2017 19:32

Make sure you vote though.

Charmageddon · 07/06/2017 19:32

Wine I'll drink to that

Whatever the outcome tomorrow, I hope there's a really good turnout.

Like or loathe, I think that the Brexit & JC effect have engaged more people in politics - there's been too many years of apathy.

Starlighter · 07/06/2017 19:34

Yes yes yes!

I have a Facebook newsfeed full of people spouting off condescending and arrogant posts about who we should all
vote for and why - and how anyone is obviously stupid for voting otherwise... Angry

I'm biting my tongue at the moment but it's driving me mad! Everyone has their own reasons for their own vote! Rah!! (Rant over!) Wink

CleopatraTheCatLover · 07/06/2017 19:36

I agree

ArchieStar · 07/06/2017 19:43

It was revealed today that JK Rowling has finally finished the next script for fantastic beasts and where to find them 2 (or whatever she has decided to call it) all election posts can do one now, I want to know more about that!!! GrinGrinGrin

Vote for who you want, I know I am and I'm already bored of the potential "the sky is falling" threads and fb posts!!

MissEliza · 07/06/2017 19:43

Hear hear.

HarryHarlow · 07/06/2017 19:43

I agree - and when the 'persuading' is vicious, it puts me off greatly. Seeing people on here being called cunts for voting Tory, really doesn't make me want to start voting Labour

glenthebattleostrich · 07/06/2017 19:43

Friday I'm going for a long walk and staying off all social media and forums because I just can't cope with the tantrums.

wifeyhun · 07/06/2017 19:46

Yes, sick of all the nasty comments from both sides, sick of facebook.

Whole families have fallen out.

Be glad when its all over!!

PortiaCastis · 07/06/2017 19:47

Yes I know the tantrums and the whinging about the result will break the bleddy t'internet. It's laughable the amount of folk that will be leaving the Country but will still be here for the next election. Drama llamas can go !!!
