We live in a democracy! We have the right to vote whoever we chose.

By all means educate or express the reasons why you are voting for x.

But stop insulting or trying to guilt people into choosing the same vote as you.

You reached your decision using your own mind. So therefore let others!! Ffs.

"right that's it I'm leaving the UK" posts come Friday!
I always wonder where people are planning on going

arethereanyleftatall · 07/06/2017 22:49

Well said op.
Do you mind if I copy and paste your op onto my fb news feed?

TheMonkeyAndThePlywoodViolin · 07/06/2017 22:52

People are genuinely afraid they're not going to be able to feed their families, that they're going to be forced to work through their disability. People are scared - so they try and persuade others to see things from their point of view.

Yes , so, so true, then people in their bubbles call it lefty sanctimony and say it will make them vote Tory.

Have never said Tory voters are cunts and wouldn't, but that is quite heartless.

mrsglowglow · 07/06/2017 23:00

At least with this campaign we haven't had too many 'celebs' sailing up and down the Thames telling us plebs how to vote. One lesson learnt from Brexit.

Charmageddon · 07/06/2017 23:10

On BBC Three's fb page there's a funny anchorman parody of the main political players - worth a watch, it's v funny Grin

Trying to persuade us fine.

The nastiness that often that goes with it isn't.

When it comes down to being able to house/feed your DC and seek appropriate medical care Vs will my DC have private or public education, what about our surplas income, the chances are the former will be more vocal through fear piglet
Doesn't make it right, but understandable, maybe.

ALeapOfFaith · 07/06/2017 23:23

A bit like Diane Abbott then, you know with her child in private school...

Sometimes maybe.

Although however you never know the circumstances of the people you are abusing and there is a level of name calling that isn't acceptable.

Leaderwithsoul · 07/06/2017 23:25

Piglet go and actually look at the threads. 80% of the abuse is from right wingers, I promise you,

Ravenblack · 07/06/2017 23:36

On every thread, on every forum I have ever been on, 75-80% of the vitriolic bile, name calling, bitching, mocking, and put-downs come from left wing people. Never ever do I see right wing attack the left, as much as left wing attack the right.

I really don't think so. Those not voting Labour may have been very rude about Corbyn but the direct criticism of posters is far more noticeable from Labour supporters.

PortiaCastis · 07/06/2017 23:38

Roll on Saturday erm that's if I haven't left the Country Grin

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 07/06/2017 23:50

Vote for you believe will do the least worst job.

I live in a safe seat Rock constituency. I'm not particularly inclined to vote for Hard Place for a multitude of reasons. I shall vote for my favoured party, the Deserted Island in the hope that they may return to their rightful position of third place. I want it acknowledged that I think that the deserted island is OK, and they'll never get anywhere if people like me don't support them, and it would be a shame if they lost their deposit.

I blame FPTP. Meanwhile the Rock will get back in and I'd be feeling a bit guilty at selling a piece of my soul to Hard Place for no good reason.

Womble75 · 07/06/2017 23:56

I'll just leave this here.. can't wait for my Facebook timeline to go back to pictures of people's dinner...Hmm

@Raven - didn't you call someone a "deluded little millennial" earlier up the thread?! Hmm

ChesGuitarra21 · 08/06/2017 00:08

@Leap

Ah yes, must never fail to get a Diane Abbott dig in hey?! If you had to endure even a tenth of the abuse that woman does, you would be rocking on the floor in a corner, believe me

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/06/2017 00:15

Mentioning that Dianne Abbot sent her children to a fee paying school is not a dig.

ChesGuitarra21 · 08/06/2017 00:23

@Lass yes it is and Corbyn gets criticised for splitting from his wife over the issue of sending his children to the local comp. No-one gives a shit about all the Tories sending their kids to private school, but when Diane Abbott does it......

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/06/2017 00:27

You are rather missing the point there. It is hypocritical. I was, until Corbyn, a Labour voter. I also hypocritically sent my son to a private school.

PortiaCastis · 08/06/2017 00:28

Diane has been subjected to disgusting abuse and people who stoop that low should be ashamed of themselves

ALeapOfFaith · 08/06/2017 00:31

Yes because Dianne Abbot represents the Labour Party, who are against private elitest education but for which is totally overlooked on here Hmm

David Cameron got ripped on MN for sending his kids to a top state school but when Dianne does something entirely against the principles of the party for which she stands it's somehow ok because she's been bullied in the past?? Seriously?

ALeapOfFaith · 08/06/2017 00:35

I don't think challenging her on her decision to choose elite fee paying eduction for her children is 'disgusting abuse' and something that anyone should be ashamed of.

I don't think ill health can be used to defend that decision
