I'm getting sick of Tory HQ starting threads here to discredit Labour

come on guys, we can all see through it

fight the election without resorting to this

OP posts:
ChardonnaysPrettySister · 01/06/2017 16:43

So there are no threads stated by Labour supporters to do scare and confuse,

And so many new posters who only posted on the Corbyn chat being very brown nosey.

derxa · 01/06/2017 16:45

The worst one was www.mumsnet.com/Talk/politics/2943875-may-or-corbyn-and-why?

HornyTortoise · 01/06/2017 16:45

How do people 'know' which posters are 'tory bots'? I have seen that said a fair few times today. Is it just brand new posters posting scaremongering crap then disappearing? Only way I can think of to 'identify' bots and such.

I cannot stand the Tories, but have found myself rolling my eyes at the seemingly endless accusations of 'bots' or paid posters Confused

ghostyslovesheets · 01/06/2017 16:46

YANBU - they all seem to be about land tax at the moment - seriously is that ALL HQ have left - they really are scared!

derxa · 01/06/2017 16:46

And so many new posters who only posted on the Corbyn chat being very brown nosey. Yes the ones with their 'real names' Hmm

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 01/06/2017 16:46

YANBU, although their are astroturfers of all hues on here I think.

M1nesasweetsh3rry · 01/06/2017 16:47

Absoloutely. There's two in particular who are obvious plants, They're obviously terrified now that it looks like may may not get her outright majority.

Orlantina · 01/06/2017 16:48

How do people 'know' which posters are 'tory bots

I would love to see their history on MN, IP address and also their cookies on the computer Grin

Mind you, I'm sure Labour are doing the same thing.

PortiaCastis · 01/06/2017 16:50

Oh yes definitely and the threads are so obvious it's pathetic

MacarenaFerreiro · 01/06/2017 16:50

Of course it's all bollocks. I'm sure there are some MN members who are members of all the political parties and who are "doing their bit" by flagging up what they think are their party's strong points, and criticising things they don't like about other parrties.

Many posters who support May are in my epxerience reluctant to say so because of all the venom about May being a liar, the Conservatives being evil, wanting to kill the disabled, hating hte poor. eating babies for breakfast etc etc. You don't see venom from the right to the left in the same way at all - and criticing Corbyn isn't the same as having a pop at people who vote Tory.

(I'm not a Labour OR Conservative voter, btw)

Orlantina · 01/06/2017 16:52

I wonder if NetMums gets astroturfers?

Orlantina · 01/06/2017 16:52

eating babies for breakfast

I bet they would forget to include staff costs for that plan Grin

UnmentionedElephantDildo · 01/06/2017 16:53

It's all confirmation bias.

And yes, there are zillions of anti-Tory thread titles too.

Perhaps it's just that MN is becoming less of an echo chamber, and the previously dominant side don't like that?

UnmentionedElephantDildo · 01/06/2017 16:53

'Oh yes definitely and the threads are so obvious it's pathetic'

Not remotely clear which side's antics you're on about!

Sionella · 01/06/2017 16:54

Lolololololol

MaybeNextWeek · 01/06/2017 16:54

'Are you fucking joking? Every second thread is some sanctimonious Labour bullshit'

Very true. Have we got a Labour supporters board, can't mn make one just for the next few days at least.

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 01/06/2017 16:54

I know this is going to be a complete revelation - but not every member of MN is a fully paid up labour devotee.

I just needed to get that out there.

BTW - there are far more left wing Jezzer appreciation threads than for May.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 01/06/2017 16:54

I don't think its Tory HQ, surely! Aren't they all busy with Brexit or something?

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 01/06/2017 16:59

Social media has a left wing bias full stop. I think Tory voters are also likely to keep their voting habits quiet - a bit like Brexiters.

PortiaCastis · 01/06/2017 17:00

Not remotely clear which side your on about

Well I read the thread title

MacarenaFerreiro · 01/06/2017 17:02

So really what the OP is saying is that nobody could ever be a Conservative voting Mumsnetter, so therefore any posts started either praising a Tory policy or criticising a Labour one are fake.

Lovely.

Chaotica · 01/06/2017 17:07

YANBU

There are a lot of fake threads.

The problem is not with established posters who talk shite about all sorts of things (and might have political opinions at all). Just with the entirely new posters engaging in scaremongering on their first ever thread. Now if I wanted to join a parenting website why would my first thread be about politics, unless that was my main goal? (And why would I bother joining a parenting website to post about politics?)

Chaotica · 01/06/2017 17:09

You people are missing the point. The complaint is not about conservative voting mumsnetters... (at least not about those who have at least posted before).

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 01/06/2017 17:09

histiny

No they are procrastinating....

Tory mp 1: god i'm bored with brexit...what shall we do instead

Tory mp 2 : fancy pissing off the lefties on mumsnet?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 01/06/2017 17:10

macarena

I dont think they are saying that at all
