I agree OP.

Orlantina · 03/06/2017 12:59

I wonder if other forums are being targeted?

SAGA?
Student Room?
The Caravan Club?

mummymeister · 03/06/2017 13:00

its an open forum. it will have its share of ultra rights, ultra left, odd balls and political paid posters.

most of us are intelligent enough to spot them I would think.

I am getting heartily sick of being called callous, stupid, nasty etc on thread after thread where I bother to post my opinions just because I wont vote for Jeremy.

honestly its just so shallow to try and tar all the supporters of a political party in this way.

it was exactly like this over brexit. loads of remoaners making it look like that was the real mood of the country when brexiteers basically stopped posting because of all the comments against them.

personally I think that lots of we love jezza type posts has the opposite effect and will turn people off voting labour.

we are a perverse lot, the british electorate. just my view. and no, no one pays me to post.

If you say that people are tired of being called names, then why have you used that word?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 03/06/2017 13:12

Completely agree rufus. I'm voting lib dem. Does that mean both conservative and labour voters hate me?! Hmm

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2017 13:13

How are you telling the difference between paid posters and unpaid but directed volunteers, Rorty?

Apart from posters also promoting non-political products, I wouldn't like to assume that anyone is being paid.

Although mind you, do we reckon MN is important enough to be favoured by visits from the Russian troll factories? Grin

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2017 13:15

Ooh Rufus, interesting!

Orlantina · 03/06/2017 13:18

I've said this before. They come to troll but get sidetracked by baby names and BF vs FF Grin

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2017 13:19

Orlantina Grin

citroenpresse · 03/06/2017 13:21

haha JanetBrown you could be my mother! True blue, shelling out for expensive private education, tax cuts not going far enough but the parent of Corbynista twins. (Well, only my own twin really - I'm a late convert). My own son is voting Labour.

How dare you not fall in line with the 'Corbyn is my hero' 'I fancy Corbyn' themes.

My eldest sent me this to wind me up...

Killdora · 03/06/2017 13:28

Charmageddon I took that photo.

I can assure you it's real and 100% not tampered with.

Would I lie to you?

Grin

I agree it sometimes gets heated on both sides, that's what happens when people are passionate about opposite ideologies.

I think if we try to keep a sense of humour I'm including myself in that we should get through this next couple of weeks.

Orlantina · 03/06/2017 13:30

I bet if Jesus was here, the Daily Mail would find some fault with him and discredit him Grin

Charmageddon · 03/06/2017 13:34

Kildora 😂

Charmageddon · 03/06/2017 13:34

Orlantina - I'm sure they'd find a way!!
Grin

53rdWay · 03/06/2017 13:35

Course they would, Orlantina. "MIDDLE-EASTERN FORMER REFUGEE STARTS DANGEROUS CULT, ATTACKS HARD-WORKING MONEYLENDERS!"

Charmageddon · 03/06/2017 13:36

The whole article, not just the headline would be in MASSIVE CAPITALS too!!
Grin

Orlantina · 03/06/2017 13:37

And they'd probably attack his mum as well.

Joseph is not my father, claims Jesus.

Charmageddon · 03/06/2017 13:38

He added to it...

And another...

He's a twat, and no son of mine!!

Orlantina · 03/06/2017 13:39

Jesus in illegal alcohol business.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 03/06/2017 13:43

Have you seen some of the dancing videos with politicians heads on them.

I know it's The Sun but this Money Supermarket spoof is brilliant Grin

bruffian · 03/06/2017 13:49

Labour are much more sneaky. I googled something last week and a pop up on my phone reminded me to register to vote.

It was a very 'teenage' thing that I googled.

It was a bit spooky actually.

citroenpresse · 03/06/2017 13:54

bruffian young people should vote! We should all vote! Did the message remind you to 'Vote Labour' or just register?
