Every single song is such a tune

Other bands will be considered for a top three. Backstreet boys and Blue maybe.

Oops

Historical fiction about Vikings!

BandeauSally · 31/05/2017 23:50

I'm very jealous of all you who got to go see in concert/meet/bump into/stalk your pop crushes. I grew up in NI. No-one came to NI in the 90's Grin well, no-one you would fancy anyway!

frenchfancy81 · 01/06/2017 00:10

Jay 😍

jollyjester · 01/06/2017 00:15

I feel your pain Sally being from NI no one ever came here. My DH first proper concert was the Scissor Sisters that I bought him to in the odessey. He was about 24 / 25.

Although I did see Robbie Williams in his first solo tour in the Waterfront around 1997. He'd only just released the second album and he smoked on stage Shock

12 year old me loved him a bit!

I'm placemarking this thread to youtube all these tomorrow at work! There are some excellent tunes!

I found all my old now albums and had a great wee dance party in my living room the other day. Now 38 and Now 43 were my favourites

DigestiveMuncher · 01/06/2017 00:21

"Ain't got no manners cos I eat with my fingers" 😳😍😍😍 that used to make me go wild! I was and still am in love with J 😳

"Until the time is through" made me cry like a baby, because it literally was the end 😩😭

I hate, hate, hate Shaun!!! He ruined everything that was 5ive in my life, let's dance irritates the shit out of me, because he was a cardboard cut out!! (I wouldn't of even put him in the video😤)

kiwigeekmum · 01/06/2017 05:43

Oh my goodness!

I definitely had a momentary obsession with 5ive as a teenager.

I also loved NKOTB, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Boyzone and Westlife.

911, Blue and The Moffats had some fun songs too.

Buuuut, my absolute all-time favourite band of the 90's was (and still is) HANSON!! Seriously, they never stopped making music and these guys actually just keep getting better with age.

You're welcome Wink
HowFunkyisyourChicken · 01/06/2017 06:34

It's prob been done but....
7 6 5 4 3 2 1 I'm on the microphone gettin' hot like the sun
1 2 3 and I'm waitin' on the 4....
Ah bliss! This will cheer me up on the drive to a shitty day at work!
Was there a band called 'no sweat' or was that just a song by one of the many above??

glitterglitters · 01/06/2017 06:58

@HowFunkyisyourChicken That was the tv show of North and South, and also their single.

HowFunkyisyourChicken · 01/06/2017 07:10

Ah yes!! glitters when are you in the Mastermind chair for this subject? (Or are you secretly an Egghead?!....)

pullthecracker · 01/06/2017 07:39

I'm with raffle, it has to be New Kids on the Block!

CaveMum · 01/06/2017 07:39

I love the video for Backstreet's Back. My hormonal teen self found the vampire very sexy, a foreshadowing of my love for Spike in Buffy Grin

I was delighted to discover the other day while channel surfing that I still know all the words to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I'm tempted to visit YouTube and find out if I also still know the words to Boom Shake the Room Grin

LinaBo · 01/06/2017 09:16

kiwigeekmum their new video is ❤️❤️❤️

fruityb · 01/06/2017 09:19

Thank you - due to this thread I am now singing I'm a man not a boy and Tarantinos new star.... I saw North and South when I was about 15 lol

QueenMortificado · 01/06/2017 09:19

I've been listening to Northern Line on the way to work this morning. The thing about all 90s boy bands is that they were really shit at actually singing but god their moves were down. I wish a band now would release some more similar stuff

fruityb · 01/06/2017 09:23

Who would have thought I'd find love on the northern line!

Oh sweet Jesus....

glitterglitters · 01/06/2017 10:45

Haha I should so go on mastermind.

Now I've got Tarantino New Star in my head. I found their album in a random second record shop in Bangkok of all places Grin

SmashingInAthleticWear · 01/06/2017 11:43

I heard somebody say
WHAT?
She's at the party so
WHO?
I'm gonna get me some
AAAAAHHHHHHHH

BandeauSally · 01/06/2017 11:47

If you're getting down baby....Grin

MyPatronusIsAUnicorn · 01/06/2017 11:47

The arm swinging dance thing that Ant and Dec do to LGRTR is called The Windmill. I saw them perform it on their live SNTA tour. I nearly cried Blush That song was also played at my wedding and is my song if I'm in a cheesy nightclub. I have no shame in dancing along and singing all the words whilst all my friends leave the dance floor.

North and South make me laugh. Totally outing as I'm sure she's a MNetter, but me and my friend at school had a full on medley of their songs. I don't think we even liked them that much, but we spent ages "entertaining" her parents with our medley. Grin

Loved 5ive and BSB and E17. Never into TT, BZ or WL. Not bothered about Blue. Was quite a Hanson fan. Unfortunately this is the one thing I would probably be known for if I ever had a school reunion. My uncle even made a speech at my wedding about it! My bedroom was a shrine. Think I still have all their merchandise in my old loft.

Still love Ant and Dec and would totally do Dec. Loved Scott from 5ive and Lee from 911 but was never a fan, apart from Bodyshakin.

Loving reading all these lyrics and how amazingly inappropriate they are and how we would have had no idea what we were singing! 😁

MyPatronusIsAUnicorn · 01/06/2017 11:49

Oh and 1 of Deuce was Lisa Armstrong, now make up artist and married to Ant.

YogaAndRum · 01/06/2017 13:33

Nunya which member of North and South did she marry? I had a brief but unexplainable crush on James Blush

PenguinDi · 01/06/2017 13:47

We had Tina cousins come to my school and I think someone else I want to say Peter Andre but I can't remember.

BonfiresOfInsanity · 01/06/2017 13:55

Keep on Movin' is one of the best songs ever. Fact. Grin I used to dance around the kitchen with DS1 to that when he was a baby and then they used it in their leavers assembly at school. Made me cry!

mollyminniemo · 01/06/2017 14:06

MyFavouriteName enjoy it!!

CaveMum I also had about 4 VHS's of pure taped TT appearances, I'd sneak down and sit infront of TV at night staring up at them...was just so obsessed!
