Every single song is such a tune

Other bands will be considered for a top three. Backstreet boys and Blue maybe.

Has anyone mentioned Let Loose yet? Crazy for you was a tune!

squoosh · 31/05/2017 15:14
  1. Forgot about them.

Baby faced lead singer flanked by two blokes who looked like window cleaners.

Squoosh - Take That played in a venue opposite a hotel I was staying in for work last week and I think they still have to put up with it except everybody is in their thirties instead of being thirteen! Glasgow came to an absolute standstill. I couldn't get back to my hotel because the roads were closed and full of screaming women. 'Mazin

Nerr that was such a tune!

leccybill · 31/05/2017 15:16

On a female front- Atomic Kitten, Misteeq and Sugababes in their various incarnations.

The 90s was a wondrous time for pop.

Edsheeranalbumparty · 31/05/2017 15:18

Remember when OTown had a song called 'Liquid Dream's? Ewwwwww!

Edsheeranalbumparty · 31/05/2017 15:22

Had totally forgotten about male model Dan Corsi, he was everywhere! I wonder what he does these days?

I often wonder that about a lot of these people. Like when Spike from 911 gets up in the morning, what does he do?!

BillSykesDog · 31/05/2017 15:23

That 'cake on the beach' song sounds like 5ive. They were good.

YogaAndRum · 31/05/2017 15:24

Or the soap stars that used to also used to have their posters in Smash Hits, Shout, etc.

Like Dieter Brummer, or Billy Kennedy from Neighbours. How is life panning out for them now I wonder?

squoosh · 31/05/2017 15:29

Billy Kennedy from Neighbours is a pretty successful TV actor in America these days. As is Jim Robinson. Always funny when Jim Robinson pops up in something!

I loved Hanson - this probably puts me to the whole world Grin

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 15:33

@Edsheeranalbumparty no word of a lie that song was played at our reception. Dh and his mates got it removed from a jukebox in a well known student pub because they'd put it on over and over and over and over again Grin

I found an old pencil tin of mine when I was clearing something out and had to Google half the names on the stickers because I genuinely couldn't remember who they were GrinShock I just really liked stickers.

Side note the free stuff in magazines used to be amazing. Anybody remember the blow up Spice Girls dolls?

squoosh · 31/05/2017 15:35

I met Hanson.

I was in NY with my brother when he spotted them and thought it would be hilarious to tell them I was their No. 1 fan (lie) and that it would make my day (lie) if I could have my photo taken with them . Grin

I was mortified but they were so lovely and were all 'oh my gosh, we love meeting our fans'. I had to play along and pretend I adored them rather than let them down. Grin

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 15:36

There was one of those male model types (Dan Corsi vein. Usually pictured with a kitten) who lived in my town. All. Y mates lived in different places and wouldn't believe me at all. So they would come to my house and see him hanging around outside the local Alldays with his mates

We'd then follow them (like 13 yo girls do) and giggle about it. Confused

squoosh · 31/05/2017 15:36

YogaAndRum I had no idea the TT fans were still nutters. I assumed mortgages and marriages would have calmed them down a bit!

Les Hill - bottom left corner was Blake from Home and Away.

Les Hill is not the name of a pin up. It's the name of an old bloke from down the bookies.

YogaAndRum · 31/05/2017 15:43

nope, still nutters squoosh, God love 'em.

I had one of those free-with-SmashHits blow up Spice girl dolls Glitters, I had Geri in her union jack dress and I thought her marvellous.

squoosh · 31/05/2017 15:44

And there's a sticker there of Corky Nemec! I can't remember anything about Corky apart from the fact he was American, and possibly an actor.

FoofFighter · 31/05/2017 16:15

Saw Les Hill in something a few years ago, hard hitting aussie drugs cop show thing - let's just say time has not been as kind to him as it has to Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce :(

MyFavouriteName · 31/05/2017 16:15

I'm a Take That fan still but thankfully never one of the crazies. They are definitely still about - just have to look at the replies to any of their tweets. The Take That boys (men?) seem to know some of their fans quite well so I guess they are followed around still.

Has Let Loose been mentioned? My friends uncle was best friends with one of them and I thought that was sooooo coooool at the time! Blush

squoosh · 31/05/2017 16:17

Liar. I bet you spent many an hour hidden in a laundry hamper in a hotel corridor.

MyFavouriteName · 31/05/2017 16:19

I wish! Grin

Albatross26 · 31/05/2017 16:20

glitter remember the spice girls postcards that came in those paper envelopes like photographs used to? I had a whole album, me and my friends used to swap them. You'd be really annoyed if you kept getting the same ones!

squoosh · 31/05/2017 16:21

Is Mark still the most popular TT member? He was definitely the favourite when they were at their height in the 90s. Then he turned into a sad serial shagger and started to resemble a garden gnome.

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 16:23

@Albatross26 yes! I was the first to get them at school and pretended I'd met the spice girls 😂 my mate and I collected the whole lot Shock
