Every single song is such a tune

Other bands will be considered for a top three. Backstreet boys and Blue maybe.

😂 true that

CaveMum · 31/05/2017 19:34

I love that Ant and Dec break out the LGRTR dance every now and then - that arm-rolling thing whilst bouncing sideways.

QueenMortificado · 31/05/2017 19:35

@CaveMum and who can truthfully say they haven't tried it themselves.....??

I had a little car boogie to Say You'll Be There by the Spice Girls on the radio on the way to work this morning. Proper blasting out and got a few Hmm looks when I got caught at a red light Grin

Is it bad that I'm genuinely considering going to this festival on my own as nobody wants to come with me? www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/back-to-the-80s-90s-festival-2017-tickets-28222314703
doubt I'd actually do it, as I don't have the cash, but I want to!

As for best boybands, I loved 5ive and BSB, though at the time I pretended I didn't like BSB as my younger sister liked them and it would have been so uncool for me to like something she liked. I still have my 5ive album though, that gets put on in the car occasionally. Grin

stripeyboys · 31/05/2017 20:17

I am afraid that I was in love with Boyzone, especially Ronan. However, I liked 911, BSB, Hanson, The Moffats, Another Level, Kavanagh etc. In fact anyone who turned up in Smash Hits, Shout, Top of The Pops magazine and the like. I loved the posters and the interviews.

You have made me feel all nostalgic.

ArchieStar, your DD might be further encouraged by the fact the Brian from BSB was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. I take note of these random facts for DS1 just in case he is interested.

leccybill · 31/05/2017 20:31

Deuce off the above no-show post came to my school.
Peter Andre came to a neighbouring school.

BandeauSally · 31/05/2017 20:40

Shock peter Andre?? I loved peter Andre as a teen! Blush I have seriously bad taste in pop idols!

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 31/05/2017 22:20

I am mid 40s and can vouch for the utter devotion still displayed for Take That. Stalking, camping out, mass dates attended on tours and hysteria are still very much the order of the day. They are lovely to their fandom too despite the craziness.

Kirbs1979 · 31/05/2017 23:02

Is it just me that remembers Bad Boys Inc Hmm

nottinghamgal · 31/05/2017 23:11

Kirbs I loved bad boys inc and made my dad take me to see them switch on the local Christmas lights.

My favourite boyband were EYC which stood for express yourself clearly. They used to also say e y cya ha ha

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 23:15

My brother helped organise something with Bad Boys Inc's tour. He got me a signed photo and pencils with the band name on. I thought it was the mutts nuts. I managed to get my friend a signed photo of Take That as well for her birthday via my cool big bro. Complete with Robbie.

Her mum was a born again Christian who hated them and binned it because she didn't approve. Mean old cow.

Nunyabusiness · 31/05/2017 23:19

Two things :

I was soooo in love with Upside Down that I queued at a signing in HMV to meet them

A friend of a friend is married to one of the North and South guys

Oh, I do so love a bit of cheesy pop. YOU ARE MY PEOPLE!!

foxessocks · 31/05/2017 23:23

Ok I'm officially place marking so I can listen to some of these gems tomorrow! Trip down memory lane! I made up many a dance routine to BSB and 5ive! Also any boy with "curtains" in a boy band was instantly the love of my life!

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 23:37

@Nunyabusiness upside down (or we're they orange orange then? Hmm) filmed a video in my hometown (big castle. Lots of fireworks) it was super late at night and the poncy rich folk went mental. Lol

userofthiswebsite · 31/05/2017 23:38

Backstreet Boys for sure

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 23:38

Nunyabusiness · 31/05/2017 23:42

@glitterglitters they were Upside Down at that point, I was a big fan very early on. Not sure why though, they weren't all that and I think one of them was called Giles Confused

Nunyabusiness · 31/05/2017 23:45

bottomofthefoodchain · 31/05/2017 23:46

Peter Andre and 911 both played in my school. And my then boyfriend was in a 5ive tribute act. The 90's were amazing Grin

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 23:47

Apparently their label went bust so they had to reform under a different name. You love and you learn!

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 23:48

Apparently Giles now writes histor
