Every single song is such a tune

Other bands will be considered for a top three. Backstreet boys and Blue maybe.

squoosh Gary seems to be the most popular now.

LunaMay · 31/05/2017 16:38

Side note the free stuff in magazines used to be amazing. Anybody remember the blow up Spice Girls dolls?

I'm in Australia but used to but the uk magazines cause they always had the best free stuff! I remember giving those blow up dolls to my little sister and I had a silver heart inflatable photo frame and a red rectangle one which I put pictures of Five in funnily enough Grin

I moved a dresser the other day and found a scrapbook I made in boy zone days. I must of scanned stickers and pictures etc and wrote song lyrics out, so cringe but I can't bring myself to throw it out, hence it being chucked under a dresser for years lol

As a side note was I the only one who seemed to always fancy the one that ended up being gay?? Blush

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 16:39

Lol @LunaMay they tended to be a bit cutesy though didn't they. I wonder if that was the record company doing that to keep them in the closet Angry I know Stephen Gateley and Lance Bass were "not allowed" to come out

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 16:40

Also inflatable photos frames!!! Omg!

bigtapdancingpimp · 31/05/2017 16:41

How can anyone not agree this is a bluddy amazing song, especially where Lee goes all screechy towards the end:

When my office is quiet I furtively have a Blue binge on Youtube. Bubblin' reminds me of a girls' holiday in Turkey in 2004......sigh Blush

mollyminniemo · 31/05/2017 16:44

sqoosh you make me laugh! Mark is the least popular now def...
(say this as a 'Thater- soon to see them for the 6th time -nothing I know compared to those who could add a few 00s to that total).
I stood outside a hotel for them once-ooooh!

CaveMum · 31/05/2017 16:49

I had a VHS tape that I used to record all of Take That's tv appearances (TOTP plus interviews on Live & Kicking and the like) on. Woe betide anyone my brother who tried to record over it Angry

I remember coming home from a parents evening at school to the news that Robbie had left Take That and running up to my room sobbing, convinced the world was coming to an end Grin

LunaMay · 31/05/2017 17:01

My cousin recorded a Vhs of Hanson going on Oprah for me. Must have been a big deal at the time and we didn't receive that channel so she sent it to me! Nice of her since she was a hardcore Warren G fan at the time Wink

squoosh · 31/05/2017 17:02

Nice that she could regulate (geddit?) her dislike of Hanson and do that nice deed for you.

SomewhereInbetween1 · 31/05/2017 17:04

Absolutely agree, although I think you need to add N Sync and make it a top four!

squoosh · 31/05/2017 17:05

'Mark is the least popular now def...

Serves him right! And nice that Gary is now the 'hot one' since Smash Hits spent all of the 90s ripping the piss out of him for being the boring chubby one Grin

PolaDeVeboise · 31/05/2017 17:10

I get all uppity about the fact I've ALWAYS loved Gary and look down on all the Jenny-come-latelys! ;)

MyFavouriteName · 31/05/2017 17:13

mollyminniemo Going to see them for 4th time next week. I'm slightly less crazy than you! Grin

squoosh · 31/05/2017 17:15

Quite right Pola, where were those jenny come latelys when you were lusting after Gary during his spiky peroxide hair and slightly overweight phase?

QueenMortificado · 31/05/2017 17:18

The middle one of Hanson is FIIIIIT now!

InglouriousBasterd · 31/05/2017 17:26

Love this this! I used to work in the best shop as a teen in the late 90s - inflatable armchairs anyone?

LinaBo · 31/05/2017 17:31

theotherendofthesockportal I still love Hanson and actually have tickets to see them in London on the 10th June Grin

elQuintoConyo · 31/05/2017 17:38

I'm too old for this thread Sad

These guys were plastered all over the unside of my pants my wall and folders BlushGrin

I'd still like a Matt+Luke sandwich.

leccybill · 31/05/2017 17:44

I've seen Take That 18 times Blush
Was a Robbie fan but now prefer Howard and Gary. Mark never really found a hairstyle to suit him, did he.

Just blasted out a bit of Blue for half an hour. Some absolute belters. Lee Ryan is truly a knob of the highest order but he had a great voice.

TheSecretMrsFairbrother · 31/05/2017 17:50

Die hard NKOTB fan here.

We had a sign up at work asking for people to make a football team. Nobody had signed up so I wrote

Jordan Knight
Joey McIntyre (still my future husband, sorry DH)
Donny Walberg
Danny Wood
Jonathan Knight (who got outed by Debbie Gibson apparently)

Caused much confusion in the workplace.

Les Hill did panto here. Hundreds of screaming teenage girls whenever he appeared on stage.

glitterglitters · 31/05/2017 17:53

@elQuintoConyo is that Bros?

My brother and sister had 17/18 years on me so I know all the 80s slebs too

Rachie1986 · 31/05/2017 17:56

Always a Boyzone fan. Going to see them live again this year

Brogadoccio · 31/05/2017 17:59

I loved them, I'll happily admit that! I was in a rented house in london at the time and 5ive really remind me of that time! belting out their songs and dancing (brilliantly Hmm along to their music)

Brogadoccio · 31/05/2017 17:59

I have to play some 5ive on youtube now

HelloCanYouHearMe · 31/05/2017 18:01
