To eat a whole bag of crisps

So the title really.
I've got the day off work and I've eaten a full bag of those £1 grab bag sharing packets of crisps. (I've had no breakfast or lunch) I was just nibbling while reading.
My partner however thinks it's shocking I can eat a whole bag.
Would you be able to eat a whole bag? Aibu?

People at work are shocked at me coz I eat about 8 bags of the normal size ones whilst I'm there, to be fair though I'm pregnant and crisps are my craving x

FreeSpiritJen · 30/05/2017 13:15

It's only about 50gm of crisps isn't it? Not a lot at all.

healthyeating · 30/05/2017 13:16

Yanbu

If you were doing it everyday then that wouldn't be great. But as a one off, I hope you enjoyed!

dinosaursandtea · 30/05/2017 13:16

What?! The grab bags are bigger but they aren't giant! Ridiculous.

justkeepswimmingg · 30/05/2017 13:17

Ooo I like to polish off those sharing bags of walkers Thai sweet chilli, now and then. Feel no guilt!

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2017 13:18

I could easily do that. What crisps were they?

Your partner is being ridiculous, as long as you're not doing it all the time, a treat is fine.

Squishedstrawberry4 · 30/05/2017 13:19

How many grams?

Squishedstrawberry4 · 30/05/2017 13:20

I think it's a bit weird. Why not just eat proper food?

ToastDemon · 30/05/2017 13:20

That's not a lot, I thought you were going to say a 200g bag which would still be no-one's business but your own.

MrsJayy · 30/05/2017 13:21

I just opened a normal bag of walkers there was 11 crisps in in ELEVEN !!! so your grab bag was probably the right amount

yesnomaybeoh · 30/05/2017 13:22

They were walkers cheese and onion. 100gram packet. I haven't had crisps in ages definitely just a treat.

I felt greedy once he said that Blush

I've eaten an entire sharing bag of crisps to myself before, as long as you're not doing it every day it's fine!

yesnomaybeoh · 30/05/2017 13:27

SquishedStrawberry - I do eat proper food regularly. Just felt like a packet of crisps,

YANBU.

I'm 7 years pregnant (last month - I'm round and heavy and tired) and have just eaten half a chocolate cake because I feel a bit sorry for myself today.

SnickersWasAHorse · 30/05/2017 13:32

I think it's a bit weird. Why not just eat proper food?

Because opening a packet is easy and full of salty goodness.

MorrisZapp · 30/05/2017 13:33

Crisps are proper food.

LagunaBubbles · 30/05/2017 13:34

Whats the problem with crisps as long as your diet is balanced?

Sionella · 30/05/2017 13:36

Well it depends on the crisps.

Kettle chips sea salt and balsamic vinegar? Bacon rashers? Goats cheese and chilli jam? YANBU.

Feet smelling cheese and onion or wee smelling roast chicken? YABVU!

indigox · 30/05/2017 13:37

100g is only 500 or so calories, you would have eaten more if you'd had breakfast and lunch

EssentialHummus · 30/05/2017 13:38

I'm the opposite to ew and woolly - could easily have done this pre-preg, but from first tri until now (6m on) I've gone right off crisps. One vaguely helpful symptom/side-effect, anyway!

yesnomaybeoh · 30/05/2017 13:39

Sionella - unfortunately they were cheese and onion lol.

I now feel like eating another packet infront of his face. Just to prove I no longer feel guilty lol!!

I could if it was the sharing bowl salt and vinegar ones that walkers make. They are much thicker and crunchier.

peachgreen · 30/05/2017 13:44

The reason I refuse to buy multipacks of crisps is because I could easily eat several packets in one sitting. I can resist cake, ice cream, biscuits, chocolate etc etc - but crisps are me downfall. Even reading this thread has got me craving a packet of Tayto! Grin

ALemonyPea · 30/05/2017 13:45

I'm judging you on your crisp choice, the best big bag is flaming hot monster munch, try harder next time Op.

KurriKurri · 30/05/2017 13:46

I could probably live entirely on crisps if I was allowed to (by the conventions of society that frowns on crisp addicts).

I usually control myself, but sometimes I don't and I eat a whole lot of cheese cheetohs, and I don't give a monkeys bum what anyone thinks of me Grin
