To feel the faint stirrings of hope of a Labour victory?

Just that really? We all thought it was a done deal, T May was going to win by a landslide and we'd be crippled by another 5 years of Tory rule.

Fast forward a few weeks and a Labour victory doesn't seem like such a long shot.

AIBU to feel optimistic that Labour genuinely have a fighting chance? At the very, very least it might result in no overall majority, but the ultimate dream of a Labour govt, run by a true socialist isn't as impossible as previously though.

We wont win but i no longer fear a 60+ tory majority which will mean they can be held account by their more socially minded backbenchers.

The most terrifying thing is that it wouldn't be another 5 years. May has been very clear that she will change boundaries and voting requirements (having to produce a passport to vote etc) to ensure that no other party gets a look in.

That's a life time of watching public services disintegrate, the rich get richer whilst the poor get poorer, more and more people sleeping on the streets, the end of the NHS, a shite education system, a greatly diminished health and social care system.

All kicked off by May with her narcissistic delusion that she's going to be able to negotiate with Europe (when she can't even handle Paxman or Andrew Marr).

I don't think Labour will win a majority government but I also think the Conservatives won't get the easy victory they assumed. I think JC has performed better than expected and the Labour party's manifesto went down better than the Tory one but the Tories will mop up most of the collapsed UKIP vote.

It will have been a complete waste of time if we end up with almost the same Parliament as we've already got. I wonder what a narrow Tory victory would do for May and Corbyn's political futures though.

It definitely looks like May is scared of debating Corbyn, and although still a long way from winning, he is now polling better than Ed Miliband or Gordon Brown. Definitely not what was supposed to happen!

Not sure whether Labour will win, but for me, the worst thing about Labour isn't Corbyn; it's that ghastly Diane Abbott. I loathe her with a passion, and she is the main reason I will not be voting for Labour.

Yanbu. I am a swing voter and have voted Tory in the past. I am agahst and the one-sided media and the potential ramifications of a much more right wing Conservative govt. But messages like the one below are doing the rounds on Facebook and I really hope they will make people stop and think. The Conservatives are pushing hard to the right now, with the arrogance of thinking the vote is all about Brexit.
It is time to make a massive decision about the future of our country.
I can't vote Labour here, it is a Tory/lib dem swing seat, so I shall vote lib dem. Their candidate is very good anyway, far better than the self-serving Tory MP we have at present.

The Tories are very fond if saying that the country will be fucked and an international laughing stock under Labour. They fail to see the irony of that statement.

Please ffs don't make a voting decision because you hate /dislike an individual. Thst is totally irrational and small minded. Look at the overarching messages. don't make a decision based on judgements about the odd individual (and in any event, remember you are judging them through the lens of the press). It is so disappointing to see people doing this.
