Well, she's likely traumatized. And I would have thought a visit from hercould be very triggering for some of the injured- bring back awful traumatic memories. I think she's been pretty dignified, and hasn't made it all about her. She is also obviously distraught.
One of the things that struck me about the attack was that it was so obviously aimed at young women and girls. That it was making a statement about how women should live, and that they should be harshly punished if the transgress.
Making the point that they shouldn't be out enjoying themselves, they shouldn't have lives where they make choices or have fun or are out and about in the world. That they should be subjected, cloistered, silenced.
And if they step out of line, step out of the house, out of control, they should be punished, by death, disfigurement, dismemberment and mayhem. It was so deeply, deeply misogynistic as well as generally misanthropic. If a female person fails to live up to a male person's expectations, she must be punished. That controlling and punishing women and girls is a sure fire route to heaven for a "righteous" man.
So much about how a certain type of man should have control and power over others. Combined with the total cowardice of picking a soft target.
And here is Piers yet again displaying his own brand of cowardly, attention seeking misogyny. Attacking a distraught young woman who has done nothing wrong, who did nothing to bring this about, who is an absolutely dreadful and vulnerable point in her life, for no reason other that to thrust himself into the spotlight.
Victim blaming, attention seeking, self aggrandising, self righteous, base, cowardly, completely and utter contemptible misogyny.
