Agreed.
Might have been nice if @ArianaGrande had stayed to do the same.

God bless The Queen and her kind heart #StayStrongManchester

So basically he said that Ariana Grande should have stayed to meet the victims?

Fucking hell. I can't imagine what Ariana must be going through after what happened.

But no. Piers Morgan has to make his point.

Her team were probably scared for her safety, I can't believe people are criticising Ariana.

She can reach out in time, meet her injured fans in the future when they are recovered and out of hospital.

The Queen is absolutely wonderful, it was heartwarming seeing the smiles she brought to the girls faces. I'm sure the medical staff appreciated her acknowledgement of the work they are doing too. She's an inspiration.

ToddlerIs2 · 25/05/2017 21:31

And tbf its part of the Queens job. She's there to see the staff as well.

PeterhouseMS · 25/05/2017 21:33

Piers Morgan is a utter arsehole.

I hope those caught up in this awful atrocity are now home with their loved one and will put this trauma behind them some day. My thoughts are with the injured in hospital and with the families of those who passed away.

Pollydonia · 25/05/2017 21:33

I feel for her, she is the same age as my eldest. Can't imagine how she feels.
Piers Morgan is a wankstain.

Only an arsehole would agree.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 25/05/2017 21:35

There was nothing wrong with her tweet. There is nothing wrong with her behaviour.

It was her concert that was targeted. Of course she is a victim. Is this what we do now? tell off those who don't respond "right"?

Did they tell off the band for not hanging around after after the Bataclan attack? (No)

Piers Morgan is pathetic.

Destinysdaughter · 25/05/2017 21:35

Ffs, twats on the DM website have been criticising her, didn't expect to see it on here too! It would be totally inappropriate for her to stay and meet her fans in hospital, many of whom are still in a critical condition. She's,cancelled her European tour and apparently has offered to pay funeral expenses for the bereaved. She's obviously shocked and distraught herself right now, leave her be.

LagunaBubbles · 25/05/2017 21:36

Put a positive spin on the concert? A concert where a terrorist detonated a bomb and killed 22 people? How on earth can you put a "positive spin" on that!!

FuckYouLinda · 25/05/2017 21:36

Tbh, with the medics all pulling in double shifts and the trauma they went through as well the last thing they needed or the patients they are looking after needed was a pop star turning up at the hospital and causing more disruption. I'm sure that with family and with investigators talking to those who they can interview it's been pretty hectic in the hospitals.

She's right to stay away right now and let those who've been through so much in the last few days get a few moments to themselves and their families. I'm sure that down the line she will meet with those survivors or bereaved families privately. But for now, let them have their privacy.

HoneyDragon · 25/05/2017 21:37

Knowing how and why she was targeted the poor woman is pretty much a candidate for PTSD herself and survivor guilt.

FreeSpiritJen · 25/05/2017 21:38

I am so sick of this attention seeking eejit. Why does he think every person in the world needs to hear his opinions??? Hmm

Go away Piers. And stay away. No-one wants to hear your opinions.

BoudiccasHare · 25/05/2017 21:38

Languna, I was about to post the same thing. I am literally gobsmacked that anyone things meeting a celeb will put a positive spin on what happened - when some of the wounded have not only been hurt and traumatised but lost relatives in the same blast too.

Ariana Grande went back to her home, as you'd expect. She was a victim just like everyone else there who was in the arena that night and deserves time to process what has happened and recover in peace.

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 25/05/2017 21:39

I don't think this concert can ever remembered for good reasons. Why should it be her job to turn it around? She was a victim. The Queen is just paying a visit I imagine with huge security, she wasn't meters away from a bomb that killed 22 and where nobody knew what the hell was going on for about 2 hours.

And apparently saying "I'm sorry" is now self-indulgent? FFS it will probably take her years to recover emotionally from this horror.

nancy75 · 25/05/2017 21:40

I think it's right she didn't stay, it would have become all about her, paps trying to get pictures of her & it should be about the people injured
& killed. People would say she was using it and she would have still been slagged off.
I actually feel massively sorry for her, even though she shouldn't she must feel some responsibility, the people were there to see her. Going forward how does she carry on her life? She wasn't injured but just like everyone there that night this will never leave her, she will always be the girl that did a show where 22 people died

Foureyesarebetterthantwo · 25/05/2017 21:42

I think the opposite to Piers, I think had she gone immediately to their bedsides in full make up and been doing the celeb caring thing it would have been very odd indeed. She needed to just get out of there, and process this, I wouldn't be surprised if this affects her mentally for a long while to come.

Babyblues14 · 25/05/2017 21:42

My 40 year old friend was there with her daughter when it happened. She is still having panic attacks now, luckily not injured. Imagine how Ariana must feel. The guilt she has that the reason they were all there was to see her. I dont think I could live with that guilt. She must be feeling like it is all her fault.
And yes she has offered to pay for the funerals. I dont know what people expected her to do. All the other people at the concert did not stop to help others. They ran for their bloody lives as well. Because she is rich and famous doesn't mean she has to deal with it better than anybody else

ohfourfoxache · 25/05/2017 21:42

He really is the scum of the earth.

Not as bad as the bastard who did this, but by god is he aiming for it Angry

EtonMessi · 25/05/2017 21:43

Like hell Piers Morgan would stick around in a foreign country with all that stuff going on around him and in shock and relentlessly pursued by the press who would be following her every move if she'd stayed in Manchester. I mean can you imagine how that would have been?

Good for him if he has what would have to be the one and only copy of the rule book on how to behave when you're in her situation.

He's a fucking oxygen thief.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 25/05/2017 21:43

What an absolute bastard but actually I'm not surprised. I'm not usually a Lily Allen fan but I think she said it best - if he was still at The Mirror he would probably be listening to the victim's voicemails (I don't agree with her timing).

user1468353179 · 25/05/2017 21:43

I know someone who was there and escaped unharmed. The poor girl has cried herself to sleep every night since but she has her mum to see to her. I imagine Ariana needs her mum too, just somewhere were she can be herself and not a big star, just a scared girl.

GeillisTheWitch · 25/05/2017 21:44

Says it all really. Smug, braying idiot.

to think this is a new low for Piers Morgan. He's tweeted about Ariana Grande
Tiredemma · 25/05/2017 21:45

He is hideous. Wasn't he behind the phone hacking shit?

Hypocritical sanctimonious twat

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 25/05/2017 21:45

She's 23, I expect she's traumatised. Apparently her mum was there and helped to calm people iirc? Like any mum I expect she then wanted her DD as far away as possible.
PM and KH should go and live together under a fucking bridge.

kmc1111 · 25/05/2017 21:46

She was apparently hysterical for hours in the aftermath, and talking about ending her career. The pictures of her show someone who's completely wrecked.
