OP posts:
dontbesillyhenry · 23/05/2017 21:50

I don't live in london but am scared silly

EveningShadows · 23/05/2017 21:51

It could be anywhere - we don't know.

We just have to carry on with our lives - what's the alternative?

myoriginal3 · 23/05/2017 21:52

Military called in ffs.

OP posts:
stillawakeatthishour · 23/05/2017 21:52

This is worrying

Ohb0llocks · 23/05/2017 21:53

Stupidly scary. We're meant to be attending a wedding at a hotel this weekend and I honestly don't even want to go. Petrifying.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 23/05/2017 21:53

Really ? It's been imminent forever OP
Easy for me to say though as don't commute to central London

Ai Sad

callmehannahbaker · 23/05/2017 21:54

Have we gone up a notch?

TheoriginalLEM · 23/05/2017 21:54

omg what now???

cliffdiver · 23/05/2017 21:54

Has the threat been upgraded to critical?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 23/05/2017 21:54

Source?

MackerelOfFact · 23/05/2017 21:54

I'm in London too, use the tubes and buses and bridges every day. It's scary, but what can you do?

I don't really see the point on the 'imminent' alert status. Either there's a known terror threat, in which case it's best to eliminate that without drawing too much attention to the fact, or there's not, in which case panicking people will achieve nothing.

Ginmakesitallok · 23/05/2017 21:55

Breaking news on bbc.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 23/05/2017 21:55

Nothing has changed.

myoriginal3 · 23/05/2017 21:55

Source is Teresa May a minute ago raising the level to critical.

OP posts:
Gowgirl · 23/05/2017 21:55

The threat has been imminent for a long time now, you have to trust our security services and our police and carry on

supermoon100 · 23/05/2017 21:55

Not to take away from the atrocity of terror attacks but statistically you are more likely to be killed or injured in a road accident. Just to put things into perspective

I've just texted my two older lads who are away at university, one's in Manchester. Just to say be careful, be alert and take care.

What else is there to saySad.

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 23/05/2017 21:57

according to what source?
Link would be appreciated as still wrestling a hyper toddler who napped too long

myoriginal3 · 23/05/2017 21:57

She just gave a press conference where she raised the threat level to critical and has called in the military to assist at things like music festivals etc.
Critical status means an attack is either underway or imminent.

OP posts:
whereiscaroline · 23/05/2017 21:57

BBC and Telegraph have both reported this.

Nicknacky · 23/05/2017 21:57

Daytona What is the point in that scaremongering?!

LadyGlitterSparklesSeriously · 23/05/2017 21:58

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

That's all I have to say.

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 23/05/2017 21:58

sorry for x-post. see previous re: wrestling

sallywiththegoodhurr · 23/05/2017 21:58

I am scared. I know that's exactly what the terrorists want but I can't help it, I don't want to raise my children in this cruel world
