I know we are all frightened and all shocked and horrified by the murder of 22 innocent people and serious injuries to many others. I'm very deeply saddened by the senseless loss of life.

I think its really important to focus on the fact that the critical terror alert level means everything possible is being done to stop another attack. I have faith in our security and intelligence services, police and armed forces and know these good people are potentially laying their lives on the line for our safety every day.

I refuse to be cowed into submission by these murdering terrorist bastards and will try to carry on as normally as possible.

Feel numb about any potential attacks that I may get involved in - if it happens it happens. It probably won't as I've got more chance of getting murdered by someone I know. And I don't feel especially comforted by the 1,000 army people who're deployed to do I don't know what around the country as well as the extra police patrols - they can't search everyone going into Wembley on Saturday and they can't search the thousands of people who get the tube every day in the capital.

If you knew anything about Andrew Murray, Jeremy Corbyn's Election strategist, you would understand why there were raised eyebrows at the very least

Wtf it wasn't Andrew Murray it was his 30 year old son, my company employs a Marketing Manager, do I need to check the marketing managers sons fb account to check it doesn't reflect badly on me?

There is no reason whatsoever for the Tory Party to be asked anything about Murray. Try the Communists, or Stop The War coalition.

Main bomb maker still out there.... possibly another attack imminent

I read that as there's a second bomb unaccounted for

Greater Manchester run is still going ahead this weekend. How can they be confidant 13.2 miles (both sides of the road) will be safe?

However, Labour has moved to disassociate itself from the comments by pointing out that the 30-year-old has never worked for the party or held any position.

And what did the Conservative party say when they were contacted about his comments? As it's only fair if he's not Worked for the Tory party either that they get asked, or haven't they disassociated themselves from him yet Grin

Kindnessatlas If anything this shows that we need to work with Europe, not in isolation, we face the same problems as other European countries in terms of fighting terrorism. We share the same values as our European neighbours in terms of personal freedom, the rule of law equal opportunities, women's rights, democracy. I have nothing against Muslims but culturally we are closer to European countries that share a similar Christian history but that are also largely areligious and tolerant.

There have been so many attacks in European countries in recent months as well as on international targets in Istanbul. This is not going away is it?

In Europe we stand united. Brexit will isolate and weaken us and has achieved nothing for us in terms of national security.

I think you'll find that an awful lot of the intelligence is from us to the EU. We are the only EU member state in the Five Eyes, and Brexit won't make us weaker or isolate us. We are still in NATO, and the Five Eyes. The problem with standing 'united' in Europe is that it isn't 'united' in terms of intelligence services, like the Five Eyes.

This www.politico.eu/article/belgium-failed-state-security-services-molenbeek-terrorism/ might give you an idea of why your 'united in Europe' comment just doesn't cut it. It is long, but worth a read imo.

Perhaps someone's son saying tinfoil hat stuff wouldn't trouble the Labour party so much if their leader and other senior members weren't apologists for the IRA.
