to think it's finally time England deals with its Katy Hopkins problem?

I know she feeds off publicity and the best thing really would be to ignore her until she shrivels and dies of fame starvation so I apologise for the thread but this is really too much now isn't it?

". Every time there is a concerted effort to distract, minimise and deny."

Can you show me where anyone has done this?

AwaywiththePixies27 · 23/05/2017 12:06

It's only something like 9 weeks since the Westminister attack Bill too Sad

AwaywiththePixies27 · 23/05/2017 12:07

hackmum the same paper that supported hitler many many years ago you mean?

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 23/05/2017 12:07

"I know she feeds off publicity and the best thing really would be to ignore her until she shrivels and dies of fame starvation..."

Your very 1st sentence said it best, OP.

My thoughts today are with those caught up in such horrific events...her and her poisonous ilk can fuck off out of my brain space.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 23/05/2017 12:08

*she and her...

Terfing · 23/05/2017 12:10

I'm not defending Hopkins, but Twitter is full of vile misogynistic racists. Surely if they arrest KH over this, they'd have to arrest the other 1million tweeters too?

hazeyjane · 23/05/2017 12:11

Sorry - have i got this right......so Away and Bill, you think that there is a liberal conspiracy to try to deflect attention away from terrorists, so that people, froth and rage at KH rather than the 'terrorists'? If this is what you mean, then could you be specific about who you want this anger targeted towards and what, if any, actions we should be taking?

AwaywiththePixies27 · 23/05/2017 12:11

Katie Hopkins should get in the sea.

Fibbertigibbet now what have the fish ever done to deserve that? Wink

ToastDemon · 23/05/2017 12:12

Anyone who claims that Hopkins wrote "final solution" accidentally in this context is either thick as shit or desperately making excuses.

Rubbish. Just utter rubbish. Words matter. Google "cockroaches" and the Rwandan genocide ffs.

The absolute last thing we need right now is that utter vile cunt stirring things up. It could wind up with more innocent people dead. So too right she should be prosecuted.

MyFavouriteName · 23/05/2017 12:12

Who the fuck are these "liberals" distracting, minimising and denying the attack? And using liberals as an insult speaks volumes.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 23/05/2017 12:14

so Away and Bill, you think that there is a liberal conspiracy to try to deflect attention away from terrorists,

Where did I say there was a liberal conspiracy? Confused

DotForShort · 23/05/2017 12:15

Of course she knew exactly what that phrase meant. It is completely disingenuous to suggest that she simply phrased her opinion badly.

The current US President has made remarks with similar historical resonances, e.g. "America first" and "enemy of the people." Now it is entirely possible that he himself has no clue about the connotations of these phrases. But his speechwriters most certainly do, and they have inserted them into his public remarks for obvious reasons.

stitchglitched · 23/05/2017 12:16

The NUS letter after the Westminster attack is an example of deflection. It didn't even bother to mention PC Keith Palmer.

Bert I'd also call the thread you started after the Westminster attack an example of it, where you questioned why this atrocity committed by a radicalised muslim was being labelled a terrorist attack when there might be other explanations for it.

PumaLeopard · 23/05/2017 12:17

If you know what final solution means, yet you deny or minimise it as semantics, then you are part of the problem. Or thick as shit.

NotISaidTheWalrus · 23/05/2017 12:17

Talking and asking questions is now "liberals deflecting attention"?

Is that you Spicer?

AwaywiththePixies27 · 23/05/2017 12:17

MyFavouriteName fuck knows. I never used the word liberals.

I'm a grown up and don't need to resort to childish insults like calling people liberals, or idiots, or dimwitted when having a discussion on an internet forum, where, shock horror, there's a wide demographic and people may just have a differing opinion than me.

hazeyjane · 23/05/2017 12:17

Sorry Away, I thought you were agreeing with BillSykesDog

PlinkyTheFairyWitch · 23/05/2017 12:18

That nasty piece of hate-mongering work is profiting from this utter, utter tragedy in my hometown. Although I think today is not the day, I do also think she should be boycotted as much as possible and potentially investigated for hate crime. 'Final solution' is pretty damned clear IMO.

She may have deleted that tweet, but that's part of her strategy. Plenty of people follow her in order to 'monitor' her, there are screenshots galore - it just means her message gets circulated and she has the excuse of having deleted it. She is therefore not the one putting it out there.

Until our laws catch up with the digitisation of modern life, I'm doubtful a prosecution could be successful.

Ugh, today is so awful and she's made it that little bit worse.

Fliptophead · 23/05/2017 12:19

Who the fuck are these "liberals" distracting, minimising and denying the attack? And using liberals as an insult speaks volumes.

It does speak volumes And it also speaks volumes about what those posters think of their own conservative values as they associate liberal with anti racism and conservative- with racism I guess.

Let's not forget about the real victims here, people who got offended by someone who seems incensed after a mass murder of children.

If you will participate in drumming up a distracting furore around people like Katie Hopkins in a way that serves to minimize this kind of atrocity, you're not being helpful to the country or to those affected, in my opinion. Children have been killed, for goodness' sake.

It scarcely matters whether Katie Hopkins helps create these distractions willingly or not. The effect is the same.

hazeyjane well I do, partly, hence all the frothing in my direction, but I'm a big girl, been around a while and can handle it I never said liberals.

NotISaidTheWalrus · 23/05/2017 12:21

I'll say it again: if YOU find other conversations "distracting"....that says a lot more about YOU.
Does the tragedy of 22 people killed mean so little to you that you can be distracted by another linked conversation?

hazeyjane · 23/05/2017 12:21

How does being pissed off with KH or anyone else trying to inflame hatred, minimize the atrocity?

CrazyExIngenue · 23/05/2017 12:25

That rant says a lot more about you than it does the people you're so angry at Bill
