I know she feeds off publicity and the best thing really would be to ignore her until she shrivels and dies of fame starvation so I apologise for the thread but this is really too much now isn't it?

The British people's elected PM. If you're unaware of basic politics this is maybe not the conversation for you.

I think we should just leave this thread to the apologists.

Slarti · 24/05/2017 09:48

The problem here is a substantial group of disenfranchised Muslim young men are being spoken too in a similar way and actually are doing something about it. However, that makes for a discussion that most people would rather shy away from.

Similarly, KH is a problem and her words encourage violence against minorities which is increasing all the time. That makes for a discussion that quite a few here would clearly rather shut down shy away from.

Fliptophead · 24/05/2017 09:48

So to recap Theresa May is Pm and the Final Solution is a Holocaust reference.

Fox hunting won't come back, it's gone, the culture has shifted

But yet again people constantly criticising 'British' culture for not being good enough...we know that...we aren't perfect but our history is one of progress and change, we actively try to change these things because we are free to do that. Having laws bound by an ancient scripture (which imo is also bollocks) is never going to allow us progression, and the amendment to our slaughter of animals laws is a good example of that

Is that what we want? Isn't it actually ok to say in a non KH way that our culture has different values and these are the reasons why?

BelleTheSheepdog · 24/05/2017 09:49

You hardly seem well informed.

Fliptophead · 24/05/2017 09:54

we aren't perfect but our history is one of progress and change, we actively try to change these things because we are free to do that.

I think this^ says it all. British history isn't about progress and fucking change. I'm fascinated to read the history books you read.

OP clearly has massive agenda.

Tara cock!

Lweji · 24/05/2017 09:57

I think we should just leave this thread to the apologists.

I agree. Katie apologists aren't going to shift. They'd rather get enraged and stop thinking.

Fliptophead · 24/05/2017 09:59

Yes, my agenda is being anti holocaust. I'm such a dick.

Lweji · 24/05/2017 10:05

Yes, you are flip. :)

Imagine being against people wanting to kill each other.

surferjet · 24/05/2017 10:06

Yep. No discussion to be had here.

PlinkyTheFairyWitch · 24/05/2017 10:07

Just on the point re. words and why they should be taken seriously. Especially in the context of final solutions.

to think it's finally time England deals with its Katy Hopkins problem?
PlinkyTheFairyWitch · 24/05/2017 10:10

Goering was a big old Nazi bigwig btw, in case anyone doesn't know that already.

Lweji · 24/05/2017 10:14

And concentration camps were not "holocaust centres".

In fact, is Spicer on this thread? Hmm

BertrandRussell · 24/05/2017 10:20

"The problem here is a substantial group of disenfranchised Muslim young men are being spoken too in a similar way and actually are doing something about it. However, that makes for a discussion that most people would rather shy away from"

I don't shy away from it. Happy to talk.

ChampagneSocialist1 · 24/05/2017 10:22

Halal meat is relevant to this conversation as in areas with a relatively high numbers of Muslims: Tower Hamlets, Newham almost all food outlets including Nando's and KFC, council run school meal service only use halal meat. So the rights and wishes of muslims in this area trumps everyone else's and last time I look we weren't living in an Islamic state although if we're not careful we soon will be.

Unfortunately the U.K. Has bent backwards to accommodate this religious/political group because it threatens us with violence and is forevering wanting more of its agenda to be accommodated into our every day lives: Sharia law, polygamy, halal meat, child prostitution, covered women, misogyny, intolerance of homosexuality and when someone eventually shouts no this isn't on then they are labelled racist. The west really needs to wake up and realise that sprouting messages of love, peace, tolerance and lighting F candles at vigils isn't going to stop these f* terrorists

firstcutisthedeepest · 24/05/2017 10:22

I hate her as much as i hate any preacher of hate. But at this moment my hate for her is overshadowed by my hate for the vile evil murderer who killed all those innocent people in Manchester.

QueenoftheAndals · 24/05/2017 10:23

But yet again people constantly criticising 'British' culture for not being good enough.

Not sure what it is about the dairy industry that makes it so British but if that's what you want to think...

BertrandRussell · 24/05/2017 10:23

Halal meat can be (and usually is) pre stunned.

squirreltrap · 24/05/2017 10:24

*we aren't perfect but our history is one of progress and change, we actively try to change these things because we are free to do that.

In what area are we not making progress? I'd love to know

There is such a dramatic reaction to KH it is hard to take it seriously. On the one hand you all seem to recognise she is a gobshite, on the other are taking her words seriously. For the record, she is just a gobshite and she has no position of power, and she is allowed her free speech, much as most of us don't like it.

FirstofherName · 24/05/2017 10:24

Erm as far as I know, the U.K. hasn't legalised polygamy, and child prostitution is hardly a Muslim thing Hmm

Lweji · 24/05/2017 10:26

The west really needs to wake up and realise that sprouting messages of love, peace, tolerance and lighting F candles at vigils isn't going to stop these f* terrorists

So, "final solution" is the answer?

BertrandRussell · 24/05/2017 10:27

"Unfortunately the U.K. Has bent backwards to accommodate this religious/political group because it threatens us with violence and is forevering wanting more of its agenda to be accommodated into our every day lives: Sharia law, polygamy, halal meat, child prostitution, covered women, misogyny, intolerance of homosexuality and when someone eventually shouts no this isn't on then they are labelled racist"

Which of those things are now accommodated into your everyday life?

What do you think we ought to be doing?

squirreltrap · 24/05/2017 10:29

Halal meat can be (and usually is) pre stunned

That sentence should read: All our meat is pre-stunned

See what I mean about erosion of our hard fought laws?
