To be irrationally annoyed by people with lots of DCs

I know IABU really.

And that it's irrational, mostly groundless and a bit unfair.

But it really annoys me!

Any other irrational annoyances out there? I have tonnes more Grin

I am slightly irritated by people with very small children. Just going about their business. It's not very nice of me. They just seem to take up so much room, and seem so oblivious to everyone else around them, with their tricycles and scooters and tupperware.

Hahaha!!! I completely agree, the more so since I have raised 3 children through this age. I never really noticed people with toddlers at all before I had any of my own, though.

Tootsiepops · 22/05/2017 17:17

I'm completely baffled by anyone who has more than one

Me too! And also jealous because I'd like to not hate the shit bits of motherhood quite so much so that I could have another baby.

So, I'm with you op, but only because large families make me feel so bloody inadequate as a mother Grin

Iloverichtea · 22/05/2017 17:18

This one of mine is really stupid - know when veg grow too close together and join up, so they become double mushrooms, or double carrots or whatever?

That actually makes me shudder!

Sneezing. I even annoy myself when I sneeze Confused

heymrtambourineman · 22/05/2017 17:19

Noeuf Grin that made me laugh out loud. Nose blowing used to really irritate me in school. I couldn't help thinking about all the snot. It was actually worse when there was no snot and just a big honk! It's obviously ok when I blow my nose though...

Sallystyle · 22/05/2017 17:19

I get very annoyed by people who type 'DCs'.

It's really not hard to type children.

upperlimit · 22/05/2017 17:20

Pets. Pets annoy me. All these people with animals that just hang around their homes just to keep them amused. Why? They don't do anything. Meanwhile they are eating and breathing and shitting, generating a considerable carbon footprint. Angry

I don't actually believe the above but I was feeling the vibe and thought I'd join in.

NameyMcNameChangeChange · 22/05/2017 17:21

For iloverichtea.... mwahahah

Diaryofalways87 · 22/05/2017 17:21

I get annoyed by people with lots of children, but only when they're on benefits.

And then moan that they are skint 🙄 perhaps you should have thought of that before you popped out 4 kids with no job and no way to support yourself!

Or even worse, when people are on benefits and then post a picture of themselves getting a wax/their hair done. Wish I could afford to do those things but sadly I work...

Mollie85 · 22/05/2017 17:21

Ignoring the slightly goady "too many children" bit and getting on board:

People who type too loudly
People who clear their throat incessantly
People who aggressively stir their hot drinks
People who have to speak the words of the email/ report/ memo as they are typing "dear Mr Smith..." Hmm
People who say "can I ask you a stupid question?"
People who then reply by saying "that was a question" then beam as though they could give Lee Evans a run for his money in the hilarity department
People who chew loudly
People who know they are being annoying by doing any of the above and laugh and go "oh sorry, that's really annoying isn't it?" Then continue to fucking do it....

It's been a long day in the office Wine Cake

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 22/05/2017 17:21

For irrational annoyance it has to be people on MN professing to 'not understand' why people do certain things. For an intelligent group of people, it's surprising to read about posters not understanding why people have vertical blinds, or don't take their shoes off in the house, etc etc. How much imagination does it take?

FatFacedDog · 22/05/2017 17:21

I blew my nose today and a massive tsunami of green snot splattered all over my face - thank god I was in a locked big cubicle.

Iloverichtea · 22/05/2017 17:22

Noeuf Love that! Chicken man! 😂😂

I'm supposedly intelligent but I honestly don't understand how people become obese. I mean, surely you feel your clothes getting tighter and realise it's time to cut the calories? grabs hard hat

Pigface1 · 22/05/2017 17:23

It's a reasonable opinion OP. With 7.5 billion of us and counting overpopulation is one of the biggest threats the human race and the planet face.

I irrationally hate people coughing. I just hate it. Repetitive, loud, hacking coughs. Rank.

Firstimefreaked · 22/05/2017 17:29

I don't really care how many kids it's the parents guys upstairs are rubbish they never take their two anywhere (no carpets on floor) so they keep going up and down hallway in pedal car/bike make horrific sounds, jumping so hard our lights shake. The parents scream and shout at each other and at children and children to children omg just shut up I want to scream!

HeyHoThereYouGo657 · 22/05/2017 17:29

IfNot . I agree

WHEN did this start ? If its not scooters in a shopping centre its wheelies or bikes or trikes even FFS leave them at home . THAT pisses me off

SouthWestmom · 22/05/2017 17:30

Sadly I'm next to the flipping cafe and the bloke who is sitting behind CHICKEN MAN and therefore next to me has decided a hot sausage bap or something is exactly what he needs.

I am waiting for CHICKEN MAN to get off somewhere so I can reclaim my seat now.

So I annoyed by trains allowing people to eat. Unless it's lentils or something.

lovelylavender1 · 22/05/2017 17:31

I agree OP.

I think it's very selfish.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 22/05/2017 17:32

Pigface I have had a chest infection which has left me with a really bad cough since last August (hacking) - what would you suggest I do if I'm in the presence of someone who finds it irritating? Presumably you have a solution so that I can avoid annoying people? Grin

shrunkenhead · 22/05/2017 17:32

Well it's their choice to have more than one just as it's mine to just have one. I don't understand why anyone would want more than one but clearly people do so they go ahead and reproduce. For us it's too expensive to have another child.
The moaning about not having time to yourself etc by parents of many kids is annoying though.
And I try not to complain too loudly about dd always wanting me as she has no dbs or dss to play / argue with.

Lindy2 · 22/05/2017 17:35

I'm a childminder so I am quite regularly surrounded by lots of children. Does that make me annoying too?
