Just having a conversation with a friend about a guy she is with that point blank refuses to go down on women.
He doesn't 'expect' blowjobs but does enjoy them.
He says he doesn't give oral because he wouldn't like the texture and because she has asked so many times why he doesn't and that it offends her he now says there is 'pressure' on the situation which means he probably will never do it.
I think this would be a deal breaker for me? Is this normal?

So, yes. Some discharge is imo a very reasonable "situation" for a woman shortly before actual intercourse. Just like men may have (hopefully) a hard-on or some leaking when they get very excited.

Dental dams are finicky things. But yes, good idea.

Cutting up a condom or using that thing you use in the kitchen (not sure what the English word is...) seems to work as well. Where I went to college there were only 2 places that sometimes sold dental dams... (and they were very expensive).
