To be scared about the outcome of the election?

There have been so many attacks on disabled people, the NHS and public services. I am just scared that there will be even more after the election, if the Conservatives get in. It is seriously scary.

There is so much hyperbole on this thread, and ignoring what is actually happening already.

People don't only strike over money

The winter of discontent was about far more than money.

This manifesto sounds great to s
All those who may not remember the 70s.

Really not sure.

I am in my mid 50s. The strokes in the 70s were in a different economic climate than today when unions were strong. This is simple scare mongering.

justanotherposter I know!!
This is not how MN behave.

bratsy yes true and part of me really is quite excited that the political landscape is offering such a choice for the first time in decades but still again not sure about labours figures. Need to hear more analysis.

Think TM has done herself no favours with fox hunting and grammars though

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 16/05/2017 14:25

whats the 50p army?

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 16/05/2017 14:26

50 too mumsnetter for 10 year plus and never heard the term. Could you explain? Smile

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 16/05/2017 14:27

whats the 50p army

It's basically calling people trolls without openly breaking MN rules.

It's where in the Chinese Communist Party I believe, people were paid to troll and post.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:28

No not trolls at all, posters who actively try to spread disinformation or derail arguments, its a basic technique used by those with a narrative to control or direct

JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:31

Theres a couple of threads where you can tell theres 2 of them talking back and forth between each other, its almost scripted

Justanotherlurker · 16/05/2017 14:31

whats the 50p army?

Anyone who isn't momentum or even people who just get hoodwinked by the evil right wing conspiracy that is the IFS

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 16/05/2017 14:32

So go to MNHQ if you have proof then.

Or is it just a case of you don't agree with what they are saying?

brasty · 16/05/2017 14:32

Look whether they are being paid or volunteers, they don't act like someone who actually wants to discuss things.

ToastDemon · 16/05/2017 14:32

Unfortunately to begin with the truly disabled people will be caught in the crossfire.

I'm curious for clarification as to what exactly was meant by this. There are some fairly unpleasant interpretations I could think of.

BringMeTea · 16/05/2017 14:33

Brasty YANBU. Post away.

brasty · 16/05/2017 14:33

What it means is disabled people don't matter.
And by truly - they mean most who say they are disabled are lying.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:35

As far as I know disinformation isnt against talk guidelines so calling it out when I see it probably isnt either, plenty of people on here disagree with me and I have no issue with that but its a bit to obvious to my eyes when I see the patterns these people provide, just saying, same people keep protesting loudly about how they arent Hmm

NotDavidTennant · 16/05/2017 14:35

whats the 50p army?

Basically, if someone disagrees with you now on a Mumsnet politics thread they can't possible believe what they're saying and must be being paid to spread propaganda. Hmm

JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:37

And thats a pattern right there, you guys really do need to co-ordinate better, just saying

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 16/05/2017 14:38

And thats a pattern right there, you guys really do need to co-ordinate better, just saying

So now you are calling me and others trolls. Which is basically what you have done.

brasty · 16/05/2017 14:39

Its like Trolls, you just read it and know something is not right.
Anyone who regular posts here is VERy used to being disagreed with. You wouldn't post in AIBU if you weren't.

OP posts:
JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:40

Piglet again I will state, I DO NOT think you are a troll

JustAnotherPoster00 · 16/05/2017 14:41

Do I think you have an agenda to promote? yes I do

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 16/05/2017 14:42

Piglet again I will state, I DO NOT think you are a troll

Sorry my mistake, you think I am being paid to post.

Where is your proof?
