He said I don't think you should sit there. I said said excuse me what are you on about? He said the bags are massive and take up the fly space.

Well that was it. I was so angry, it wasn't a big amount. How dare he say that to me. I shouted at him that he had really offended me and it backed off and sat in the flight seat.

Now I'm thinking about it I don't know AIBU?

I blame the crap educational system we have in this country now, Shirt.

The seat that air crew pull down to sit on during take off and landing is called a jump seat.

And we still don't know what a fly space is. Unless the OP is talking about the air space over her seat? Were you throwing your pringles in the air like you just don't care OP?

Yes. It's a complex shopping-based code but basically pringles = don't mess with me or I'll shout. Rice = I'm not fat I eat healthily. Combined with pringles it can and does cause existential angst.

It must be some sort of regional dialect than none of us know.

Flight seat is vaguely referencable if you mean the fold down seats air stewardesses sit in? But then why not call it the stadium seat?!

Fly just makes no sense though. It's just the present tense of flight, I can't think how that's come about in any regional dialect.
