And there you have a perfect example of how offended some people are by those of us who don't drink alcohol, for whatever the reason.

Because its a FACT that alcohol makes endorphins be released. Makes you feel good. So do loads of other things: cuddles, a good cup of tea, a slice of cake, a good curry, any other food I like .....

It does that in the short term, but is a depressant.

Because otherwise I am an awkward, shy mess at social events.

Because I'm thirsty. To stop dehydration. If it's alcohol: I don't drink alcohol.

Why all the secrecy behind your reasons OP?
