Why is MN so transphobic?

I really don't understand it but it makes me sad. Trans people just want to get on with their lives and are at more risk of being harmed or murdered than anyone else.

Its shit like this that makes me question their mental health Datun

Notice how its all female biology does'nt exsist....what about male biology? If you follow their rule of thought then male biology does'nt exsist either so why are they so desperate to rid themselves of a penis and create a vaginaConfused

Twunk · 09/05/2017 07:52

Many of them aren't flossy

FlossyMooToo · 09/05/2017 07:56

True.

BenadrylCucumberpatch · 09/05/2017 07:59

If you were born with a cock and balls, you will never be a woman.

HTH.

UrsulaPandress · 09/05/2017 08:12

Every day's a new day.

Soubriquet · 09/05/2017 08:16

I see someone quoted me about how it's cool to be a trans parent Hmm

At the moment it is. As soon as someone mentions they have a girl who hates pink and plays with cars, or a boy who loves pink and plays with dolls, they suddenly say their child is trans.

No love. Your child is playing like millions of other kids.

Maxandrubyrubyandmax · 09/05/2017 08:25

There's no answer to that because it's not!

Gallavich · 09/05/2017 08:31

Does anyone have a source for the parent who transed their child in utero?

Datun · 09/05/2017 08:38

Gallavich

It's transphobic to trans your child before they're born. Because it's got nothing to do with you, or their biology. You have to wait until they are old enough to tell you.

Why is MN so transphobic?
Datun · 09/05/2017 08:47

Well exactly flossy. And, yes a lot of them maintain that their penises are a female organ, which is completely inconsistent with having surgery.

I don't care if someone wants to have surgery. But don't tell me a penis is a female organ, on a female person and that lesbians should be attracted to you - because you are a man with gender dysphoria.

You can think it all you like, but please don't expect anybody else to.

I mean, really. Surely even the kindest, most inclusive, person can't buy this shit?

FlossyMooToo · 09/05/2017 09:04

It suprises me how many do buy this shit Datun
People who i thought were intelligent criticle thinkers are all over this like a rash. Demanding trans rights and demeaning me for having fear about men in female spaces. My experience of being raped in a night club toilet is nothing compared to the experience a transwomen has.....apparently

Datun · 09/05/2017 09:17

FlossyMooToo

I don't think many supporters of trans actually think that the penis is a female organ. I think they probably do baulk at agreeing a lesbian should simply view that person as a woman, despite the presence of his male genitalia. (I'm talking about regular women here, like those on this thread, not transwomen).

My question would be if you don't really believe it, but you think it's transphobic it to say it, Think about what that means. You're being asked to pretend/lie.

Now you may think it's just a white lie, to be kind.

So try not saying it. Try telling the truth. Because normally the refusal tell white lies does not result in being violently threatened (by someone who claims they are a woman).

I don't think you had a very good education, OP.

Maudlinmaud · 09/05/2017 09:28

Datun what's a terf? I apologise for my ignorance.
Those tweets are shocking but I don't know who's who.

Soubriquet · 09/05/2017 09:29

Terf is trans exclusionary radical feminist

Basically anyone who says a transwoman is not a woman

Datun · 09/05/2017 09:35

Well they said i might grow up to be gay but my parents didn't want that. They told me it must mean I was born in the wrong body and was really a girl.

I didn't even know what being gay was :/

OP. If this genuinely happened to you, then I'm very sorry. People will engage with this in good faith because it sounds horrific and no one wants to hurt you further.

But you don't sound to me like you have spent any time with trans-people, Either online or in real life. You say you have had surgery, but you don't sound to me like you have had any conversations with a gender specialist. If you have had surgery, but don't know that 80% of transwomen do not have surgery, I don't know who has been advising you.

If you are an intern from the Daily Mail, please read some of the other trans threads to make sure you are fully informed. Because the assertions you are making do not sound genuine.

Katnisnevergreen · 09/05/2017 09:35

There isn't healthy discussion. Neither side is willing to listen to the other, and the anti-trans side parrot out the same tired stories over and over. Danielle Muscato springs to mind.

I tried to debate recently and got so fed up of the superior nature and single mindedness that I gave u. Then I was called a TRA plant, seriously people, check my posting history.

There is no overt transphobia, because people are not daft enough to post it, but the mindset is definitely transphobic if you see what I mean?

Maudlinmaud · 09/05/2017 09:36

Thanks Soub, I hope twitter comes down hard on things like this, there is no place on social media for that type of behaviour.

HomityBabbityPie · 09/05/2017 09:37

I have never once mentioned Danielle Muscato.

I have repeatedly OTOH asked someone to please define what the identifiable aspects of being a woman are, and as yet no one has answered.

Soubriquet · 09/05/2017 09:37

No worries

There's so many different things now it confuses me a lot

FlossyMooToo · 09/05/2017 09:41

I have listened Kat and I heard them loud and clear when they said cis women are scum and deserve to be burned/shot/raped (with their lady penis) that cis women dont deserve to feel safe and lesbians should shut up and suck their girl dick.
It was listening to the above that made me listen more to the gender criticle femminist. Not the other way around.

Datun · 09/05/2017 09:43

Maudlinmaud

TERF stands for trans exclusionary radical feminist. It was coined by the trans community as a slur to apply specifically to feminists, as it is feminists who see gender role conforming as detrimental to women. And therefore have analysed gender up the wazoo and see through it. They profoundly disagree that there is such thing as a lady brain. They were the first to say hang on a minute...

But as more and more people, who are not feminists, disagree with the ideology, it's now come to apply to anyone who disagrees with any single part of it. And it is always accompanied by a threat.

I'll engage with you. And I won't be rude.

No, I don't see what you mean.

Though if someone who thinks there is transphobia on this thread is able to answer questions like homity's we might make some progress towards "healthy discussion".

Maudlinmaud · 09/05/2017 09:52

Thank you for the link. I looked at it with my mouth agape. A lot of anger there, that I find hard to understand. Calling like minded people to hurt or even kill women is not acceptable.
