Was she coming into him

ImAHastamaker · 04/05/2017 23:55

Friend was talking to guy at work who's really tall. She asked him his height (6'5) then jokingly moaned and said "im only 5'2"... they were pissed, both married, flirtatious?

OP posts:
ProseccoBitch · 05/05/2017 14:15

What the hell? You must lead a really dull life if you think that's 'coming onto someone' OP Biscuit

badabing36 · 05/05/2017 18:33

Pleeeeeeease come back op.

notanevilstepmother · 05/05/2017 18:39

This thread is disgusting and disgraceful, the filth. Asking men how tall they are, won't somebody think of the children. clutches pearls and faints at the outrageous sexual content

CherryMintVanilla · 05/05/2017 18:40

Why exactly are people asking the OP to come back?

HelsinkiLights · 05/05/2017 19:27

To find out:
A) was the OP the 6ft-er & wanted to know if the 5ft-er fancied him/her because the 6ft-er is secretly in love/lust with the 5ft-er & vice versa. So should they ask him/her on a date?

B) as above but they can't stand the person & want to discuss running a mile.

C) The giggly person has slept their way around the office & no married person is safe........even the Pope would succumb due to the giggly person being so attractive/charismatic etc. So OP is concerned re her husband/wife/partner.

D) Can this be construed as sexual harassment?

E) Is this just friendly banter?

F) It's the start of a love affair in the novel the OP is writing.

G) It's the Daily Lazy Fail.

H) It's a bored MNetter Smile

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 05/05/2017 19:39

See I think it's flirty. Im also 5' 2". I guess that's why I never got laid pre-DH.

Littlegreyauditor · 05/05/2017 21:48

It has just occurred to me that last week in my own front room I casually enquired if DH's best mate (a lanky bugger with large hair) had grown yet taller, or was it just his hair. I can't believe I have been so unknowingly forward, and me both a mother and a member of several committees. Shock
Thankfully I pulled back from the brink of utter harlotry and did not tell him my own height. I keep that sort of talk for the bedroom.

ComingUpTrumps · 05/05/2017 23:08

Littlegrey I love that you wrote "utter harlotry"!! Grin I can definitely see it becoming a new favourite expression of mine!

Lovelymess · 06/05/2017 18:54

Because he's very obviously tall and she wondered how tall? And her only being 5"2 (fairly short) would maybe like to be taller? lol you say over thought it Hmm

FKat2016 · 06/05/2017 19:19

Yesterday 00:24 ZilphasHatpin

'Just can't work out why else you'd say something like that in response?'

You can't work out why someone would respond with their height to someone who had just stated theirs? Really? Could you try really hard?

I mean it's not like she said, "wow I bet your dick is huge too, show me it"

Comment above made me do a little wee

SuchAFreak · 06/05/2017 19:21

That's disgusting

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 06/05/2017 19:29

I certainly hope you called her on it. How brazen!

Skylander01 · 06/05/2017 19:35

This is exactly why I hate mumsnet! all the smart assed answers add up to bullying in my eyes - each one trying to outdo the last! How do you think th op feels now? They were only asking your opinion - not to have the piss ripped out of them. You are a bunch of disrespectful bitches as far as I'm concerned.

OP, for the record - I dont think you need to worry - it sounds like your female friend was trying to be cute - not flirty! My daughter does this all the time as she is seriously height challenged and at 18 I cant see her growing any taller. She uses it to get over her shyness by making others laugh.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/05/2017 19:39

Sorry if we have a sense of humour. The answers imo were lighthearted and not bullying. I find your post very disrespectful actually. And as for calling us bitches Shock.

Reported.

Oysterbabe · 06/05/2017 19:49

I always hang out places I hate, a really good use of my time.

SuchAFreak · 06/05/2017 19:50

I agree with the poster above - not funny.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 06/05/2017 19:50

I have got literally no idea how OP would arrive at flirting from the height exchange, I'm quite a tall female & get comments such as in the OP all the time, mainly from females-have they all been coming on to me & I've never realised?? Shock
As for sky , Hmm seriously?

justdontevenfuckingstart · 06/05/2017 19:58

Well if you hate mumsnet then don't post! For the record I am 5'2 and oh is 6'4 and we're pretty filthy.

kali110 · 06/05/2017 20:01

The op osted a silly question. People haven't been mean, just funny!

Skylander01 · 06/05/2017 20:17

I knew that I would get flamed but Im strong enough and certainly ugly enough not to care.

TheDowagerCuntess · 06/05/2017 21:00

You would care even less if you found somewhere you didn't hate, to post on. But instead you hang out here.

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/05/2017 21:08

Your life must be very boring if you hang around just to police us bitches.

flippaflippa · 07/05/2017 01:11

Well she obviously wants cock...

BoysofMelody · 07/05/2017 03:51

She asked him his height (6'5) then jokingly moaned and said "im only 5'2"

Someone will have put her up to it.

missdebaroo · 07/05/2017 13:13

They were talking while and work and were pissed??? I want a job there!! 😂😂😂
