To not get the Tom Hardy obsession?

Sillysausage123 · 26/04/2017 10:33

I'm 37 so maybe this is why I just don't get the obsession every female seems to have with Tom Hardy.
He just looks like an ordinary guy to me but the amount of Facebook memes and posts my female friends post about him and I don't get it. What am I missing?

He's just as intense in real life as he is in acting. It's very knicker wetting if you're that way inclined. Which I am. Easter Smile

sailorcherries · 26/04/2017 12:37

judychicago if Tom Hardy was my electrician or plumber then my house would be constantly broken.
It's not the status for me but a definite attraction.

squoosh · 26/04/2017 12:38

Yes glitter, Russell Crowe is just a bad tempered scruff with a paunch in 90% of his films. Except Gladiator of course.

JaneJeffer · 26/04/2017 12:38

judy speaking of boiler repair men, this happened in Ireland last week www.independent.ie/entertainment/banter/oh-hi-liam-is-it-only-boilers-you-service-bord-gais-serviceman-liam-a-hit-with-hilarious-punters-35619757.html don't see it myself!

Littledidsheknow · 26/04/2017 12:39

I don't get it either, OP. I think he's majorly ordinary.

Also not getting Ryan Gosling with his sloping shoulders, and dad at the school gates ordinariness. Vom.

I admit I softened towards BC after watching Sherlock; he has such charisma in it, and what a voice! He's still not handsome, though.

squoosh · 26/04/2017 12:39

Are you single judy?

Zaphodsotherhead · 26/04/2017 12:40

I don't get Tom Hardy either. He just looks like a normal bloke to me. But then, so does Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt and a lot of so-called 'gorgeous' men. They just look like....men.

Peter Capaldi, on the other hand, can come and service my boiler any time he's free.

judychicago · 26/04/2017 12:44

No I;m not single and I was joking about my electrician, sure he is a very handsome guy but 10 years younger and has a wife and baby but he is cute and I do no harm in appreciating him in a discreet way.

RoboticSealpup · 26/04/2017 12:48

I never normally fancy any of those 'heart throb' types, bit this one I really do get! I relished every second of that 'one-man show about a man in a car talking on the phone about cement'-movie. (Locke.) Anyone else in that role? Hah! Nobody would have watched that. ... Then again, DH enjoyed it too... Hmmm. Wink

JaneJeffer · 26/04/2017 12:52

I don't get Ryan Gosling either and he's so boring as well.

BastardBloodAndSand · 26/04/2017 12:55

Pfftttt....to the suggestion of warrior to see him nekkid.......Bronson is where it's at 😏😏😏

PatMullins · 26/04/2017 12:55

Nope. I'm mid twenties and he doesn't do it for me either.

I think it's the lips...

CalmItKermitt · 26/04/2017 12:57

I don't like his lips. They're a bit sluggy and wet looking.

Marmalade85 · 26/04/2017 13:03

YANBU OP! I do not understand it at all. His dad is a very posh novelist and playwright.

sailorcherries · 26/04/2017 13:11

While we're talking about attractive men can I just throw Chris Evans in to the mix, Captain America not shitty radio dj. I may be pregnant, hormonal and horny but I'd let that my sit on my face.

MadisonAvenue · 26/04/2017 13:16

OP, I don't get it either. I very rarely see what other people see in actors that are said to be the latest heart-throb though says she who fancies Ade Edmondson

Mari50 · 26/04/2017 13:30

I didn't look twice at Tom Hardy until I watched taboo. I have a shameful massive crush on him now.

streetface · 26/04/2017 13:35

I don't think I have ever seen a better looking man anywhere, ever in my entire life. And he has huge amounts of sex appeal. (don't tell Mr Streety)

DianaMitford · 26/04/2017 13:37

He's a parent at my child's school :)
I've spoken to him, shaken his hand and sat next to him in a play a couple of times :)

MinesaPinot · 26/04/2017 13:40

Tom Hardy could stand still and read the back of the crisp packet and I would fall at an undignified heap at his feet, I've had a massive crush on him since he was in the Martina Cole adaptation (and he was obnoxious beyond belief in that).

My latest crush is the bloke playing Riggs in the new Lethal Weapon on ITV. Mind you, Damon Wayans is in that and he's rather lush as well.

KrayKray00 · 26/04/2017 13:42

He makes my fanny flutter and my ovaries feel like they are going to explode every time I see him...

Beautiful man.

But that's just me Grin

MinesaPinot · 26/04/2017 13:43

should have read "fall in an undignified heap"

crap grammar alert

MichaelSheensNextDW · 26/04/2017 13:44

He's a remarkably talented actor - as Charles Bronson and both the Krays (in Bronson and Legend) he is mesmerising.
I'm not a fan of his off duty dress sense but think he's very handsome and think he should do more bedtime stories Grin

MusicToMyEars800 · 26/04/2017 13:46

he is good looking and seems so lovely and down to earth so yes I can see the obsession.
I didn't get it, then I watched Legend and everything changed.
