Corfe Mullen

Would you say it's worth the extra money compared to these two (same road)

Which ones your preference/ why? Grin

Ariawyn · 24/04/2017 19:40

i like 1 - and think the decor is worth more than the other houses,

then i like 3 and dislike 2 the most

FanaticalFox · 24/04/2017 19:41

Number 2 is the best by miles..no way is yours worth that much more money! Good luck selling it though anyway.

lazydog · 24/04/2017 19:41

I'd choose #2. EOT rather than mid.

Batteriesallgone · 24/04/2017 19:41

I prefer house 2. The decor in houses 1 and 3 is a bit tacky, and I'm not convinced the kitchen in property 1 is actually all that.

Why are so many in the same road up for sale? Is it a massive road?

Which is yours?

Kittykatmacbill · 24/04/2017 19:42

You are only paying for someone else's taste on 1, I would be more interested in 2 as I could do my own thing more for 15k difference . Or if not up to new a kitchen, or 3 if I wasn't up to a spot of work...

Which one is yours op?

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:42

It's a big road, yes.

OP posts:
Crabstick · 24/04/2017 19:42

I'd buy number 2.

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 24/04/2017 19:43

I don't like any of them. The first one looks shabby and cluttered, and I know you should see past piles of toys and kitchen bins, but the garden is also unkempt. Kitchen is a nice size.

Two, probably the best of the three - ridiculously small conservatory though, its empty, a corner plot and blank canvas.

Three, although in good décor, I wouldn't live in a terrace, and the kitchen is pokey.

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:44

What part of the decor do you think is tacky (not offended but value your opinion)

OP posts:
PNGirl · 24/04/2017 19:45

I think I'd go for 3, given the choice. I would say you need to reduce yours by 10k.

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:45

Obviously not everyone would live in a terraced house etc. It's more of a "if this was your budget" I'm asking for Grin

OP posts:
Splinters6 · 24/04/2017 19:45

No1 is obv presented very well and the kitchen is a def plus point.
No2 is up steps so not as level as no1. As the house is only 2bed it's a young family or older downsizing person. Neither of which would be keen on steps up to the front door.
No3 looks like knocking through would easily give you what No1 has.

It also depends where they sit in the street and how level the back garden is. No1 again looked more level.

I'd also be concerned about 3 houses on the street being for sale unless it's a very long Rd.

Crowdblundering · 24/04/2017 19:46

I think Corfe Mullen is a bit over priced tbh - paying for a school catchment and miles away from anywhere for the kids to do anything unless you can afford a horse!

ChicRock · 24/04/2017 19:47

I'd buy number 2.

All that crap in the front garden of house number 1 would have me viewing it with a very critical eye before I'd even set foot through the door, at the arrogance of charging 16k more and seemingly not being arsed about clearing the front garden and making it look presentable.

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:47

Thanks crow.
We love it here though and moved for the schools and couldn't afford broad stone/Wimborne at the time.

Hoping someone likes Corfe Mullen Smile

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:48

Chic.
It's not my crap to clear.
I've offered! They are fixing the washing machine/tumble drier and hoovers that have been left there for 3 years Grin

OP posts:
Crowdblundering · 24/04/2017 19:49

Who can afford Broadstone?! Cheaper than Sandbanks though! Grin

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:49

Might hire a skip and just throw myself in it along with neighbours crap after this thread Grin

The bathroom in #1 is nice. What is picture #7? I am not sure what I'm looking at, is it a view from the child's bedroom, or is it an extra room? The pictures with the trampoline kind of bother me; in picture #7 is obstructs the view, and then in the picture of it in the yard, it makes the yard look really narrow. So narrow that I might not even consider looking at it. Also, everything in the yard is shoved to the back.

Could you perhaps plant some little flowers in the border along the fence, and rearrange the outdoor furniture so it looks more inviting?

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:50

Haha! This is very true crow

OP posts:
Badcat666 · 24/04/2017 19:50

1st one, looks lovely and clean and bright and like the flow of it. 2nd one is ok but needs some work and the 3rd one.....where's the conservatory?? Also don't like the kitchen, feels really pokey

ghostyslovesheets · 24/04/2017 19:51

I'd buy 2 - just nicer all round and yes - corner plot so lots of possibilities

Yours has a nice kitchen but you need to do up the outside - the front looks tatty and the giant trampoline dominates the back - take it down and plant some nice shrubs!

Siwdmae · 24/04/2017 19:51

Get rid of the clutter under the stairs and the overflowing baskets in the dc's bedroom, it's really off putting. Could you pop some stuff in the loft temporarily til you have a firm offer in?

Given its not an end of terrace, why is it priced so much higher than the other two? Do you think this might put off people who may also view other properties in the same road?

Chamonix1 · 24/04/2017 19:52

Steff picture 7 is conservatory.
Yes yes re the garden. It's shit and been neglected over the winter.
Making a list of to do's!

Tiptoethr0ughthetulips · 24/04/2017 19:52

I'd go for house 2, it's end terrace = less noise.
