You do too much housework. HTH. Hmm

SheSaidHeSaid · 23/04/2017 13:39

You wash sofa covers once a day?

Of course it's too much.

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2017 13:40

If you think it's ok then it's ok Confused

It looks pretty normal to me, although when typed in a list it can look like it's more than it is.

But ultimately, I'm not sure why you're asking as you seem fine with it?

chickenjalfrezi · 23/04/2017 13:40

Way too much. What impact does this have on you and those around you?

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2017 13:41

Have you all spotted the 'every week' in the list?

There's no gap, so it does look as though the list is every day, but just the first part is.

MrsPringles · 23/04/2017 13:42

You hoover twice a day??

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2017 13:42

God you must like housework when do spend time enjoying yourself or with the family?

Ceto · 23/04/2017 13:46

Why on earth would you hoover twice a day? You also shouldn't need to do laundry twice a day. Unless you're all exceptionally grubby, sofa covers shouldn't need to be washed every week either.

QuiteLikely5 · 23/04/2017 13:46

That's hardly anything! Or at least normal.

Didyoumeantobesorude1 · 23/04/2017 13:46

You are doing too much. Does your husband mean that you need help with the housework, or counselling help to enable you to reassess your views? Is he offering to help himself?

BernieKosar · 23/04/2017 13:47

Did he mean help as in getting a cleaner, or mental health type support?

Either way it's much more than I do.

Bluntness100 · 23/04/2017 13:47

Wow you do clean a lot...😱

1234512345Meh · 23/04/2017 13:47

Totally your choice but if you did want to cut down, I would downgrade handles to weekly, hoover once a day and wash the sofa covers a lot less. Maybe get a throw and wash that once a week. Your sofa will last a lot longer then.

Windows I think once a month would be a lot!!

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2017 13:49

I'm genuinely baffled as to why some people think that's a lot? Confused

The hoovering twice per day is excessive (although perhaps they have hairy pets)

But other than that, it just looks normal?

chickenjalfrezi · 23/04/2017 13:49

Why do you clean door handles every night

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 23/04/2017 13:49

That's a hell of a lot of cleaning!

Hoover once a week, ditto for bathrooms and other stuff.

And I don't think I've ever routinely cleaned door handles! Only when you can see the dirt.....

Crispsheets · 23/04/2017 13:50

Why do you Hoover twice a day?
And clean doorhandles?

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2017 13:50

Oh yes, I'd wash the sofa covers less too.

But things like rubbing over a few door handles takes minutes.

I do honestly think it looks more because it's typed in a list.

Even the laundry. I mean it's not like the OP is taking it down to the river and beating it against stones. I'm assuming she pops it in the machine? Confused

Dawndonnaagain · 23/04/2017 13:50

I'm not sure I've ever cleaned a door handle!

HolditFinger · 23/04/2017 13:51

If you fancy a change of scenery, you can come and live here if you like OP!

I thought I was fairly fastidious about cleaning, but it seems I've been put to shame. How do you fit all that in?

Oysterbabe · 23/04/2017 13:52

I've lived here 3 years and never cleaned a door handle. #slob

Beeziekn33ze · 23/04/2017 13:52

OP - you sound lovely, when can you come round to mine?!

exLtEveDallas · 23/04/2017 13:52

My home is hoovered twice a week and the kitchen sides, the loo and sink are wiped over (flash wipes) every day.

On a Saturday the house is hoovered, kitchen floor mopped, kitchen doors wiped, bathrooms cleaned, bedding changed and all sides dusted.

Sofa and cushion covered are washed once a month.

Windows, erm, yearly? Maybe? Blush

Yeah, I think you do too much.

SquatBetty · 23/04/2017 13:53

Loads more than I'd do, I don't even hoover once a day and don't think I've ever cleaned the door handles! But I have fairly low house keeping standards.
