To be annoyed at the childish way DH speaks about sex/sexual acts

I really dislike the way my DH talks about sex. He'll say things like 'any chance of a handie/blowie?' And 'I want to give you a rodgering'. He thinks it's amusing/totally reasonable but I find it immature and a turn off. AIBU?

If you have a preferred vocabulary, tell him what it is.

It would only be fair, though, if he laughed hysterically.

BarbarianMum · 15/04/2017 23:04

How did he talk about it before you married him?

Teabagtits · 15/04/2017 23:06

My ex used to ask for "rumpy pumpy"...

Teabagtits · 15/04/2017 23:07

Damn half my post disappeared. Yanbu but we live in a world where people think sambo and sainsbos is acceptable articulation so maybe he thinks it's fine.

SarcasmMode · 15/04/2017 23:13

Tell him to stop or he won't get any nookie. Smile

Crunchymum · 15/04/2017 23:15

Fellation? Grin

SarcasmMode · 15/04/2017 23:17

Sideways Hokey Cokey was what it was oft referred to by with the males in my class at school.

It did actually make me lol the first time I heard it.

NoMudNoLotus · 15/04/2017 23:18

I think the weirdos are the ones who have issues who " making love " in a long term relationship.

angelikacpickles · 15/04/2017 23:20

However, if a bloke uses words for private parts and/or sex that a child would use then I wonder what age group he secretly want to have sex with.

Seriously? Not liking childish words is one thing but this is a bit extreme!

TheElephantofSurprise · 15/04/2017 23:20

sambo???

Teabagtits · 15/04/2017 23:24

elephant allegedly short for sandwich - there are people unaware of other uses of the word (I had a thread on the 'bo' words a few weeks back where I learned this)

WorraLiberty · 15/04/2017 23:24

Massive conclusion to jump to Confused

I'd just assume he's the type of person who also tells his workmates he's going on hollibobs.

imkeepingthisnamenow · 15/04/2017 23:25

Surely you knew this before you married him?😂😂😂

Tanfastic · 15/04/2017 23:25

I don't know. I'm in the camp of I'd rather my DH said "fancy a shag" rather than "shall we make love" but any other term would probably make me laugh and I'd think he was saying it to make me laugh rather than serious.

But I do have a rather schoolboy sense of humour Confused

WetsTheFinger · 15/04/2017 23:27

You must have known before you married him surely

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 15/04/2017 23:27

I think all the above can be acceptable to different people, but within a couple it feels better to have a common vocabulary.
DH and I tend towards the "Oo-er missus" lingoBlush but avoid the outright twee

AcrossthePond55 · 15/04/2017 23:29

Horizontal Mambo? Beast with two backs? Or what my DH says; "Ya wanna?" Grin

Next time he asks you for a 'blowie', tell him OK but only after he gives you a 'lickie'.

RebelRogue · 15/04/2017 23:30

Meh OH uses jiggy jiggy or fuck or whatever nonsense and type of mood we/he is in. The words he uses have no impact on whether it happens or not.

Tanfastic · 15/04/2017 23:30

A lickie 😂😂👍

Tanfastic · 15/04/2017 23:31

That's wasn't supposed to be a thumbs up, not sure what happened there Blush

ToastyFingers · 15/04/2017 23:33

Seriously? People actually prefer 'make love'.

Do these people gaze longingly into eachothers eyes and slowly romp to a Barry White record?

Dh and I have a healthy and plentiful sex life, but I don't believe we've ever 'made love'.

honeylulu · 15/04/2017 23:40

Oh dear. I say "fancy a shag?" Also "shall we go horizontal jogging?"
I have no class.

caz323 · 15/04/2017 23:46

Teabagtits rumpy pumpy has had me in hysterics. Cannot remember the last time I heard that hilarious expression. How can anyone take that seriously? No wonder he's your ex!

MajesticWhine · 15/04/2017 23:48

DH uses terms like rumpy pumpy or rudies. I say give us a shag, or would you like to have sexual relations. If he talks about making love I would just snigger.

mikado1 · 15/04/2017 23:49

LMAO @lickie and the subsequent thumbs up! [Grin]

I wouldn't like that (or make love) either Op but you'll have to say it. Tbh I'd prefer it just happened rather than being asked for but maybe I'm OTT there.
