To cause a massive scene in Sainsbury's car park

Earlier today I went to Sainsbury's with both my DD's (7&1) I was just about about to pull in to the last mother and baby space when someone cuts me up to park there, ok annoying as fuck but whatever.
I find another non baby space which is a very tight squeeze with my car (it's quite big) not to mention the whole faf off youngest DD and her car seat palava, so we've finally got out just about and set out to go in store, this is when I notice the guy who cuts me up is on his own, not only that I recognise he's the same guy who done this to me last week!
So I flipped out!
I asked him where his kids were and does he think it's acceptable to be able bodied (I know this now I've recognised him as I actually went to school with him and he lives near me) and watch someone else struggle whilst he doesn't actually need the space.
So what I got back was him shouting to me 'you don't have to have kids to park here' and 'I'll park where the fuck I want'
By this time my oldest DD was very upset with our shouting and his swearing so I started to walk away, he proceeded to shout abuse behind me and it was all just very embarrassing really!
All in all I'm glad I called him out in front of lots of tutting and clapping people but I wish I hadn't upset my DD, I just hate disrespectful people! And I went in and reported him

Cool story. Get a smaller car.

I have no children and have never parked in a parent and child place. It is inconsiderate. But it's not actually a big deal. I cannot get excited about parents complaining about this.

And you were wrong for kicking off in front of your children.

I don't think I would have 'flipped out' in front of my kids. It clearly upset your daughter

So I should get a smaller car and maybe get rid of my DD ( because she's the reason I need the space) because of an inconsiderate arse hole?

What have P and C spaces got to do with being able bodied? You're making it sound like it is the same as someone taking a disability space when they aren't disabled. They are in no way comparable.

I was meaning because sometimes all disability spaces are taken thus he would use a M&B space instead

Why do you need a big car when you have 2 children?

I have a small car and it has seen dd through from 0-6 and we survived. Just sayin...

I would have just gone and reported him. Swearing and shouting in front of your kids did not allow you to keep the moral high ground.

Can't do that any more every child has to have a full adult seat to fit the legally required child seats in.

Honestly, the hoohah on here about parent and child parking just amazes me. My DS is now 1, I've got an enormous 4 wheel drive truck (not a Chelsea tractor, actually used as a truck) and I have never once parked in parent and child, and yet somehow I have managed to survive and even buy food from supermarkets.

Yabu.

We had a car with sliding rear doors when the DC were very little. Saved a lot of bother.

The whole car park was full this was the last remaining space (one car over lapping the lines) it's a very small store

Life's too short to get worked up about little things like this. Just park further away where you'll have more space.
