To cause a massive scene in Sainsbury's car park

Earlier today I went to Sainsbury's with both my DD's (7&1) I was just about about to pull in to the last mother and baby space when someone cuts me up to park there, ok annoying as fuck but whatever.
I find another non baby space which is a very tight squeeze with my car (it's quite big) not to mention the whole faf off youngest DD and her car seat palava, so we've finally got out just about and set out to go in store, this is when I notice the guy who cuts me up is on his own, not only that I recognise he's the same guy who done this to me last week!
So I flipped out!
Blush I asked him where his kids were and does he think it's acceptable to be able bodied (I know this now I've recognised him as I actually went to school with him and he lives near me) and watch someone else struggle whilst he doesn't actually need the space.
So what I got back was him shouting to me 'you don't have to have kids to park here' and 'I'll park where the fuck I want'
By this time my oldest DD was very upset with our shouting and his swearing so I started to walk away, he proceeded to shout abuse behind me and it was all just very embarrassing really!
All in all I'm glad I called him out in front of lots of tutting and clapping people Blushbut I wish I hadn't upset my DD, I just hate disrespectful people! And I went in and reported him Grin

Oh yes as she is fb friends!
When i had fb i had friends like this, they knew nothing of my health problems, several of them live quite close to me too Confused

kali110 · 06/04/2017 18:34

PollyPerky i may disagree with the op, but wth is your post about? Confused
You can disagree, no need to go that low!

woodhill · 06/04/2017 18:37

He sounds like a lovely person, driving the wrong way in a busy car park and then going into a space where it is probably obvious that someone (op) is waiting to enter.

Even if he did have hidden disabilities is this any way to behave. Perhaps he needed calling out.

DingDongtheWitchIsDangDiddlyDe · 06/04/2017 18:37

He also eats puppies and voted for Ukip. FACT.

BillyButtfuck · 06/04/2017 19:18

I saw one of the trucks that OP drives today. I've not noticed one today but there was a big brand new white one parked in town, it really was huge. I'm surprised you've not had people shouting at you in car parks with that beast!

BillyButtfuck · 06/04/2017 19:19

That should read, I've not noticed one before today

FairytalesAreBullshit · 06/04/2017 19:26

Ha ha he'll have been on Jeremy Kyle next, got 3 women pregnant and is a no show Dad, plus he drowns puppies in the canal as a hobby.

Talking about drip, drip, drip.

Even if the above were true, wouldn't change the fact you started the confrontation.

If you hadn't mouthed off at him, he'd have no recourse to interact with you.

I'm on here late ladies & gents as I've just come back from shopping. Got no complaints, actually the opposite, this cute little kid said 'Hello, how are you?' Didn't know them but it was oh so sweet.

FairytalesAreBullshit · 06/04/2017 19:28

DingDong I heard he drowned puppies, didn't know he ate them after. Shock

FairytalesAreBullshit · 06/04/2017 19:44

Plus he isn't childless, he has an imaginary friend that you can't see. I think he's called Eric. Because Eric is so small he has to sit in a special invisible seat.

Eric wouldn't go to imaginary friend school this morning as this nasty lady was causing a scene, when all Eric wanted was a Kinder Egg, as he's been so good. He even had to sleep in the same bed as the other car driver, because he was having nightmares.

Let's all spare a thought for Eric. Just waiting for the other car driver to send me a photo. It's bath time so he needs to get his jammies on.

PortiaCastis · 06/04/2017 19:46

Grin. Flat Eric?

FairytalesAreBullshit · 06/04/2017 20:12

He wanted to add that the photo had to be rushed, so it's not a brilliant representation. Grin

Look at poor Eric, still looking scared. Bless him.

He has a special camera btw which means Eric can be captured on film. Usually he's invisible to the eye.

His t-shirt has a ribbon on for a cause he feels quite strong about. He didn't say what it was as he doesn't like sharing his private business. He rarely posts on FB to be fair, now he's growing up he's focusing more on Eric.

No, YANBU OP. Mumsnet... it's a strange place sometimes. A very strange place.

I'm no parent, but I have a hidden disability so I have a right to park in disabled spaces. When I was a young child, my mum often reported people/caused scenes over disability spaces and adults with no badge parking in them. I know it's not the same but it's a similar situation for the OP. She has 2 young children. Come on, she needs a bit of space. Children run around, they have the potential to damage cars or open the door too fast and hit the car next to them. That guy is not only a right old twat but he's a bit creepy, why is he always doing this in the same spot every time you go? And... why should OP need a new car... That one she has must work for her and her children so why change it because of some people who feel the need to give out some quite rude comments on an Internet forum.

Okay, the words of the original post were rather exaggerated, but who doesn't exaggerate when they're angry?

FairytalesAreBullshit · 06/04/2017 23:42

I'm gutted I didn't think of Eric earlier, it gave me the push to do something artistic for the first time in ages. Thank you OP.

PortiaCastis · 06/04/2017 23:50

Team Eric

kali110 · 07/04/2017 01:54

coffeecoffeecoffeee what, so now this guy is a creep and is just waiting for the op to nick her spot?
He plans his week by op's shopping schedule?Hmm

FairytalesAreBullshit · 07/04/2017 09:44

Ooh I've been told that TOD (The Other Driver) will be releasing another photo and a press statement sometime today. Eric decided he wanted his hair coiffured, so very kindly a local barbers has offered to tidy up his messy mane. As soon as I hear anything I'll try and get the second photo.

OP has been invited to Loose Women to discuss, 'Should we go bat shit crazy in front of our children?' That should be aired next week some point. A rival salon has offered her the full makeover.

It is not yet know if parking problems with children are endemic to Sainsbury's, with 2 threads in 24 hours. The Mum has released a statement saying she was scared of getting a fine in case it looked like she didn't have a baby so left it in the car as proof. Her 2500 FB friends have come out in support, as they live in a small town where everyone knows the other person, after reading about Eric's Dad getting a ticket she was up in arms what to do.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 07/04/2017 11:04

For all those pps who said 'I saw someone sitting on there own in a p&c space. With no kids'.

Someone in tescos car park once saw my Dad sitting in a p&c car park space with no kids and was making her way over to give him a mouthful. Luckily and embarrassingly for her she spotted me and the DCs walking over to his car at the same time as she made a beeline for him. His health means he literally, cannot walk around a supermarket without setting his angina or his copd off and I myself was not long out of hospital.

The minute she'd have opened her mouth she'd have got short shrift off me and I've no doubt that if I hadn't have appeared when I did she still would have laughed a tirade of verbal abuse at him.
Just because you see a snapshot of something doesn't mean you have the full picture.

LadyFlumpalot · 07/04/2017 11:09

Very late to the party - but to the PP saying you can't have a small car with two children because of the need for full adult seats...

I have 2 DC, 6 and 3. I drive a Nissan Pixo. Otherwise know as The Smallest Car In The World. They fit in their perfectly fine and perfectly legally.

Boooooom · 07/04/2017 13:32

I couldn't wade through the arguing but if you were so chuffed by the clapping of customers and the approval of your daughter why are you Seeking further approval here? Confused

FairytalesAreBullshit · 07/04/2017 15:11

I don't get people who go, 'Hey, AIBU?' It's a like 85% plus, you upset your own daughter. So OP adds more and more to the tale. People still say 'Yes, YABU!'

Got a better picture of Eric, his hair looks proper groovy now.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 07/04/2017 16:23

She's not really interested in your views about whether or not you feel she was unreasonable. She was just after a bit of support in saying what an arse this man was and what a hero she was.
