To suggest you all do not watch 'All round to Mrs Brown'

I have lost count of the number of times I have seen the trailer for this, with a pixillation to cover up a swear word.

Even if you excuse the unnecessary amount of foul language, this is at best an extension of a very bad 70s sitcom with a gay character added in. If this is all the BBC can put out on a Saturday evening they have lost the plot in a way.

The worst thing of all is that previous series have attracted a large viewing audience. Go down the pub, watch another channel, play a video game or do something else. Poor viewing figures will mean it will not get a second series and the sitcom may be cancelled.

Vice and bob was amazing

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 25/03/2017 13:09

Still No idea but I'm going to watch it now - having grown up with the Mary Whitehouse moral bollocks, I don't appreciate being told I shouldn't watch something

rogl · 25/03/2017 13:09

That's nice..

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2017 13:10

I loved Big Night Out back in the day Stiick. 'What's on the end of the stick Vic? Grin

antsinpants · 25/03/2017 13:11

Not a fan myself, although I wouldnt DREAM of telling someone what to switch off! Brendan O'Carroll who plays her is an amazing man and worth a google just for his life story. Love him, not Mrs B but everyones different and if we were all the same life would be boring

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 25/03/2017 13:11

Mrs Whitehouse is alive and well I see.

Asmoto · 25/03/2017 13:12

I've found Mrs Brown very tedious on the few occasions I've seen it - I don't need a thread to tell me not to bother watching Grin.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 25/03/2017 13:13

Oooh yes - The wheel of conciliation was fab

The80sweregreat · 25/03/2017 13:14

it is rubbish, but fair play to people that enjoy it and find it funny.

i watch Eastenders and that is also rubbish, but its a bit of escapism - i understand people who think i am mad!
each to their own.

CoolCarrie · 25/03/2017 13:15

Brendan O' Carroll is a great guy, his mother was an amazing woman. I saw his sister in cabaret at Edinburgh Festival and she was very good, telling stories about their mother and their lives. Please don't ask me not to watch something that will make me laugh after what has been a terrible week

StiickEmUp · 25/03/2017 13:15

Sparkling YES!
I'm 33 and I just about remember, but my parents were pretty cool and I was watching the fast show age 9 too.

I do think people should watch ever TV they like but it's not BBC 2 in the nineties unfortunately.

Good times 😂

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 25/03/2017 13:16

Can I watch shite AND go the pub mum?

OhMrBadger · 25/03/2017 13:17

Hmmmm...this thread has made me want to watch it just to see what you're getting at OP. Like reverse psychology.

Hang on a minute...

Aha! Busted. 😂

StiickEmUp · 25/03/2017 13:17

Sparkling Oh! 'He's a baby! He's a baby'

memyselfandaye · 25/03/2017 13:17

Ok then, thanks for that advice. I will do exactly what you said. You have saved my Saturday night, I will do one of the alternatives you have suggested.

Said nobody, ever.

Get over yourself, you tit. Millions clearly love the character, and if it was cancelled how else would you get to feel superior?

I've seen it a few times, I found some of it funny. I don't really give a fuck if it's too low brow for some or not clever comedy.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 25/03/2017 13:17

OMG yes - OP are you Brendan?

caz323 · 25/03/2017 13:18

Mrs Brown cracks me up laughing without fail.

I can't stand The Voice, personally, but I endure it purely to lech at Gavin Rossdale! I sooooo want to jump his bones! It's pure carnal lust.

Laughter and lust. Weyhey! Bring it on! Grin Grin

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 25/03/2017 13:18

I suggest you watch Gary Tank Commander op. You'll love it.

*snigger

MrsFrTedCrilly · 25/03/2017 13:18

I think it's shite but your attitude stinks more

To suggest you all do not watch 'All round to Mrs Brown'
BadLad · 25/03/2017 13:19

Foul language?

Oh, the horror!

cunt cunt cunt

WorraLiberty · 25/03/2017 13:19

What really makes me laugh about the show is all the ad-libbing that goes on.

Some of the cast look literally terrified of what he's going to do or say next Grin Grin

CandODad · 25/03/2017 13:21

I went to the same elocution lessons as Mrs Brown.

That's nice.

bigbuttons · 25/03/2017 13:21

I love it, don't be such a misery OP.

Megatherium · 25/03/2017 13:23

I have no intention of watching it because it's a load of crap, but the language doesn't bother me in the least.

caz323 · 25/03/2017 13:24

And actually, OP, I've never forgiven you for banning Tom and Jerry.

you ruined my childhood!!
