Confused
To think if you're having guests, the bath shouldn't be left like this??
OP posts:

Has the OP already said whether s/he's using their wifi? Just out if interest.

Because that would be terribly akward...

OP, rinse it off. It's not that bad...

pictish · 18/03/2017 18:02

The OP isn't coming back to have her face metaphorically punched in. Don't be daft.

Branleuse · 18/03/2017 18:04

this is why I dont have guests

blueskyinmarch · 18/03/2017 18:05

I can’t really see anything on that picture. What am i supposed to be angsting about!?

1horatio · 18/03/2017 18:05

picitish

But I want to know if she's using their wifi!!!

@amerrie
Are you using their wifi...?

1horatio · 18/03/2017 18:06

this is why I dont have guests

This is why we lock ours in the cellar... (yes, I'm kidding...)

SlatternIsTrying · 18/03/2017 18:25

This thread has amused me immensely. Thank you op!

I can't decide which is my favourite bit - the poems or the name change.

DavetheCat2001 · 18/03/2017 18:28

On another subject, I pulled a massive slimy hairball out of my bath hole the other day..boak.

No wonder the water was taking an age to go down Grin

1horatio · 18/03/2017 19:57

On another subject, I pulled a massive slimy hairball out of my bath hole the other day

For some weird reason I used to love doing that when I was a child. :-0

Not sure why, tbh...

Tapandgo · 18/03/2017 20:06

An imperfect bath can be an accidental oversight - you posting offensive pics about your hosts is deliberate.

squishysquirmy · 18/03/2017 20:10

OP is not coming back, having been overcome by some horrible disease associated with squalid conditions.
That'll learn her not to use the bath when she's only been invited round for coffee in the first place.

In all seriousness, it looks like someone has cleaned the bath, and then a bit of dist has settled in it post cleaning, or maybe they rinsed the cleaning cloth out in it. If that is the dirtiest part of your host's home, then they are very tidy people.

DickToPhone · 18/03/2017 20:40

Is the mantelpiece dusty as well?

How about the lawn? Completely free of weeds?

If not, tell them to go fuck themselves for being such shitty hosts.

Spookle · 18/03/2017 20:44

Brilliant thread. Thanks for the laugh OP. More dirt than that blows into my bath just from having the window open.

@AnnieAnoniMouse - if your bath is enamel try Toilet Duck. I had great success using it on a scaled up bath in my grotty bedsit days. I poured a full bottle all around the rim so there was a curtain of TD all around. Left it for 24 hours then scrubbed it with a plastic scourer. I also poured it all over the taps and they came up a treat but you should probably check what your fittings are made of before trying that.

A side effect was that the whole tiny grotty place smelled clean and fresh for about two weeks Grin

TizzyDongue · 18/03/2017 20:47

Several pages in I'm still laughing at the poster asking if the op was just around for coffee.

Just imagining the confusion of a host as the op soaks in the bath as her coffee goes cold.

BabychamSocialist · 18/03/2017 21:12

If you were my guest and you mentioned this I'd ask you if you wanted that stick removed from up your backside or preferably inserted even further.

I mean really, that's just general specks of stuff isn't it? Could've been a fly or anything. I was expecting actual filth.

Sorry OP but you seem very stuck-up!

BabychamSocialist · 18/03/2017 21:14

OP are you my ex friend?

She used to come and stay at our house and walk round the guest room wearing a white glove and checking for dust on top of wardrobes and behind chests of drawers.

There's a reason she's my ex-friend.

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 18/03/2017 21:17

Bit harsh to the op surely. Op have you tried enviromental health, they'll probably need to come and assess the situation. I hope you get through this terrible ordeal Flowers

nellifurtardo · 18/03/2017 21:20

Op you have lost at life.

tallulahturtle · 18/03/2017 21:41

Be grateful, that's clean. My bath however is used to clean the horses rugs :)

SJD25 · 18/03/2017 21:59

1horatio Whaaaaat so did I!!!!! Blush

SJD25 · 18/03/2017 22:01

Also OP you'd have a bloody heart attack if you saw my bath! DS has to have this gross moisturising stuff in his baths for eczema and it leaves all his toys and the bath all slimy Wink and I probably should clean it more often......

1horatio · 18/03/2017 22:02

1horatio Whaaaaat so did I!!!!!

Well, at least we're not the only ones...?

pepsiandshirley · 18/03/2017 22:04

MIL, is that you?

Strygil · 18/03/2017 22:10

What kind of person is it who accepts hospitality and then bitches about its quality on a forum? I will leave out the adjectives and just say someone with not enough to occupy their time. Tell me - did they have the temerity to ask you to use a toilet they had actually put their own bare arses on? Reason totters at their impertinence.....

TheObserverOne · 18/03/2017 22:26

OP firstly, I think you need to get a life. And secondly, I want to know if you're my friend, so I can be sure to never invite you to my house. Ever.
