We only use the shower here.
The bath normally has a light dusting of ...stuff

GideonOsborne · 17/03/2017 19:50

And Gideon How do you find the time to post on Mumsnet with all those jobs you have?

I do all of them half arsed and other people do the bulk of the work but get paid far less, works well!

SlapperPJ · 17/03/2017 19:50

Fuck me. Do know OP I had a relative do this to me. They turned up 30 minutes early for a weekend visit. I had just got in from work and had planned to clean the bathroom when I got in - but they arrived.

So we socialised, we chatted, we ate. I forgot to whizz a cloth around the bathroom (which wasn't that bad tbh).

Said relative seemed to have a lovely time. We had a lovely time. And then, when he got home he phoned my parents and bitched and complained that he had never felt "so unwelcome in his life" because the bathroom wasn't spotless.

It escalated. Now the whole family is NC with him because he was fucking out of order

So are you.

Oh, and you have no idea how much anxiety I now have EVERY TIME WE HAVE GUESTS because of twattish behaviour like his and yours.

TheRealPooTroll · 17/03/2017 19:51

We always used to have a bath rack of clothes over our bath when I was little so there would frequently be a bit of fluff to rinse out before bathing. Thank God it was before camera phones Grin

Polly85 · 17/03/2017 19:53

If I caught you taking photos of my bath to post on internet , I would shove you in it and turn the taps on xxx

Beelands · 17/03/2017 19:54

What a gracious guest you are!

BumWad · 17/03/2017 19:55

It's not even that bad

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea · 17/03/2017 19:56

If this was a hotel then you would have a point.

TheBath · 17/03/2017 19:57

I would shove you in it and turn the taps on xxx

Bit unfair on me, but I never complain when dirty people get in me, you won't catch me putting pics up of the dirty people on bathnet.

Life is very unfair for us Sad

Crispmonster1 · 17/03/2017 19:57

I can't believe you feel it is worth posting about? You're life must be SO dull.

ZilphasHatpin · 17/03/2017 20:00

Grin @thebath!!

Gabilan · 17/03/2017 20:01

Dear Bath

Pop downstairs and have a chat with the dishwasher. You would not believe what that poor sod has to wash.

DailyMailArticle

Is it the height of rudeness to post photos to social media of your friends slatternley standards?

A recent thread on Mumsnet highlighted a growing trend - that of posting photographs to social media of every perceived injustice in life. Mumsnetter Amerrie posted a photograph of a bath at a house where she was staying which didn't meet her high standards of cleanliness. Asking other posters if this was acceptable.

Other mumsnetters after scrutinising the photograph declared it was only a few specks of dust. penguinlife said "it's just a bit of dust which can be rinsed out easily enough". wankingmonkey agreed, "tiny specks".

The tide soon turned against Amerrie with posters pointing out that it's quite rude to post photos of a hosts house when staying as a guest. "How rude are you" said SurburbanRhonda". CrochetBelle" suggested that the shocked house guest should go and stay in a hotel.

There you go, have written the article for the DM journo. Save them a job.

TheBath · 17/03/2017 20:04

Dishwasher is living the life! He gets all the leftovers, I get pube and skin soup Envy

themightymoog · 17/03/2017 20:05

I don't understand. I can't see anything wrong with the bath. The OP is incredibly rude though

Sparklingbrook · 17/03/2017 20:05

Only thing missing Possum is the value of their houses. Grin

The Wright Stuff might cover the story. I always like to know what Anthony Costa from Blue/Joe Mangel from Neighbours make of these things.

Cary2012 · 17/03/2017 20:06

I do hope the OP doesn't pull the plug on this thread, it's cheered me up no end! Who cares about the starving millions in Africa, poor OP has to spend twenty seconds swilling clean water around a speck of dust!

Have compassion mumsnetters!

WankingMonkey · 17/03/2017 20:06

Targeted adverts can come up across devices on shared ip but it's not going to be for this specific thread

Hosts will be bombarded with 'mr muscle bath cleaner' tomorrow morning? Grin

Gabilan · 17/03/2017 20:06

That's just what he tells you, Bath. In reality he gets bits of dried cat food; the business end of the loo brush and the bin lid.

DevilsDumplings · 17/03/2017 20:07

Crumbs OP. Yes you are being unreasonable. You're a guest in a home, not a 5* boutique hotel. You sound like you're too posh to rinse.

happypoobum · 17/03/2017 20:08

wanking I am reporting you to Gin Towers for showing a photo of my bath Angry

OP - get a life.

Lynnm63 · 17/03/2017 20:09

LTB
(leave the bath) Grin

This made me laugh, family looked up and did the Mum's on MN eye roll.

dowhatnow · 17/03/2017 20:09

You are getting a flanneling op. Just let it wash all over you.

Gabilan · 17/03/2017 20:11

Yeah, don't worry OP. It should just be water off a duck's back.

ohtheholidays · 17/03/2017 20:14

What is wrong with you OP?

I'd be bloody heart broken if you were my friend and you'd done this to me!

My bath's always spotless but then I have OCD,I'd much rather any of my friends baths were like the one you've shown or worse rather than them having to live with fucking OCD!
