AIBU?

AIBU to expect all the hair to be removed having a Hollywood bikini wax?

Had four of these waxes now and they always leave bits. Is it really possible to remove all the hair? Or is my waxing lady not very good? Or are my pubes super strength? Confused

it's actually more hygienic to leave it au natural!
Have you got a source?

Yes. It's called 'evolution'. The hair serves a useful purpose, otherwise it would have evolved away.

A useful purpose doesn't necessarily mean more hygienic. Source?

Man I can't help thinking if bald fannies were all they cracked up to be y'all would be a good deal less defensive. I don't give a shit what bizarre torture you put your labia through but I do object to the insinuation that I am dirty and covered in piss and menstrual blood that is inherent in your airy "oh it's so much cleaner" remarks. Learn to wash you dirty fuckers

Isuppose if hairy fannies were all they cracked up to be maybe you'd all stop being so offensive. Why should grown women have to fucking defend what they do with their own pubes to the likes of you who come on a thread to be offensive, rude and argumentirve get a grip!

Not one person has said your hairy fanny is any of those things we have said the reasons why we PERSONALLY like it. So bugger off

That's not true. If something doesn't disadvantage breeding it won't evolve away.

I can't imagine being a "beauty" therapist. Don't some people smell ? I'd be gagging away if I had to deal with a less than fragrant person, man or woman. I really do not want to peer at someone's hairy anus.

Rhoda yes they do unfortunately.

I agree. I just can't imagine pulling apart my arse for someone to start plucking hairs from it and the same from my labia. I'm a mess down there anyway from birth damage with loads of scar tissue so the thought of waxing it is just too much. I think my poor perineum has been through enough!

Which bit offended you? Truly I don't think there's anything offensive in my post - provocative sure, because this topic annoys me - but I haven't said anything derogatory about removing the hair.

When you say "it's cleaner this way because I'm not covered in piss and/or menstrual blood" whether you like it or not you are insinuating that those of us who don't remove are dirty and smelly. Stop it. Say it feels nicer or it's more comfortable for you or it's for sexual gratification but stop implying that natural fannies are revolting and unwashed. Because that IS what you are doing with those comments about cleanliness and that IS offensive. I for one am capable of washing my nethers and I'm sure many others are too.

I have only met one man at university (so 18-22 year olds) who even considered that I might not want to remove all my pubic hair. Every other man has expected, demanded, or told me to be bald.

So in my age bracket, it very very much is considered the norm. In fact, I've heard on numerous occasions, people saying they would walk out of an intimate situation if a gal had a bush.

Sad I weep for my daughters.

I don't like where my pubes grow or the type of hair I have. It is coarse

I have a lot of period problems (which require surgery) and
I like the feeling of being smooth underneath as it pulls the hairs with tampons and towels and fiddling around.

I don't care what a man thinks about it. I like oral sex and to me it feels nicer smoother

Surely we can all do with our body hair what we wish?

Isuppose the bit where you called people dirty fuckers perhaps!!

We are talking about ourselves personally maybe your growth Isn't as thick as other peoples maybe your period isn't as heavy is that hard to understand. No one is saying you need to do it. People who are saying it makes sex better mean it personally. We have experienced both ways. That's great if you don't need to do it for that reason. i literally don't care what another woman does as long as they are happy, so why does it bother you!

Also just to point out I wasn't the one who said anything about piss etc. My pee goes down the toilet no where near where my pubes would be.

Report
Kikikaakaa · 13/03/2017 11:14

I don't think that about piss either to be honest.
It's easier for me to clean myself up but then bear in mind, on a weekend like this one I might have been to the toilet every half an hour to wipe up because the flow is heavy. It does just seem easier to sort it all out when it's smooth (to me. Mrs I Am Very Dark and Hairy)

Just to add....I got a bikini wax when Travelling in Brazil. What I would consider a usual bikini line wax - ie just on the sides so you could wear your bikinis, not a Brazilian/Hollywood- they called that, 'an English' 😉

I totally get the better feeling of being bald esp with sex, but for some reason I would feel odd going for a smear or somesuch all bald. In addition, if bald and having a pee, it never shoots straight and always gets everywhere. Discharge etc spreads about and feels uncomfortable and I get ingrown hairs which I have to dig out and it looks unsightly. So I now trim the sides and top with a razor and leave it at that. I don't have loads of pubes though so maybe that's why I am not bothered to do more.

Haha do you know I had forgotten I wrote that at the end and you're right that was offensive and I apologise.

I just think it's not that hard to be careful about the way you describe what you're doing and why so that you can be sure you're doing it in a way that doesn't denigrate other women's choices. I do think as well it's something that does need a certain level of analysis and scrutiny for the sake of our daughters - I'm sure we can both agree that whatever our own preferences, it's completely unacceptable that young girls be given the message that their natural state is somehow dirty and not good enough. This isn't the fault of women who choose to remove their hair for their own comfort but in conjunction with increasingly mainstream porn imagery I think we have to be very careful about the messages we are (possibly inadvertently) sending to girls and younger women.

That's not true. If something doesn't disadvantage breeding it won't evolve away.
Then please explain why in the course of our evolution from apes, females have lost almost all of their body hair, but kept it in certain small places. Those places must have a positive function, or they would have gone too.
That's not to say of course that it's wrong to remove the hair as a personal choice. We do many other things against natural evolution of the species. This is a tiny one in comparison.

Ha ha ha so now not only do we waxers want to look like prepubescent children, forced to do so by our bullying porn obsessed partners, we also present a smelly minge to the beautician and probably tell her to get down there and stop complaining.

Priceless!
