AIBU to expect all the hair to be removed having a Hollywood bikini wax?

Had four of these waxes now and they always leave bits. Is it really possible to remove all the hair? Or is my waxing lady not very good? Or are my pubes super strength? Confused

Yes, you can remove the hair and I tweeze what the strip doesn't remove. I'm a beauty therapist.

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:17

As in, remove all the hair

CheersMedea · 12/03/2017 19:21

What are you talking about as being left?
Do you mean odd stray hairs or a bigger patch?

FWIW some places use different terminology for an "all off wax" there are two types really
a complete removal of all hair or
a complete removal of all hair save for a landing strip of hair on the pubic bone.

My experience is that there isn't actually received terminology for either. So in one place all off will be a Brazilian and a landing strip is a Hollywood. in another salon all off will be a Hollywood and a landin strip is a Brazilian.

This may not be your issue though if you mean stray hairs. If you do, I'd change salons.

tinkerbellone · 12/03/2017 19:26

I specifically ask for all-off. Small patches are left-too big to tweezer. :(

Go to someone else!

Wando1986 · 12/03/2017 19:31

She sounds awful. And blind.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 12/03/2017 19:33

Go somewhere else.

TileTileTile · 12/03/2017 19:37

This sounds bad!

Usually I have a few hairs left that I get with the tweezers. They do use tweezers at the salon but I guess it's hard to get every single hair. What you describe doesn't sound right tho, is go somewhere else

tinkerbellone · 12/03/2017 19:40

Thank you for the feed back. I'm going to try somewhere else x

Rubbish!

My beautician leaves not one hair.

steff13 · 12/03/2017 20:00

My girl doesn't leave a single hair. You need to find someone else.

skerrywind · 12/03/2017 20:01

I leave everything,
Not one hair untouched.

Lol skerrywind

ChickenVindaloo2 · 12/03/2017 20:04

I've always wondered this about the "all off" wax:
Do they take off the wiry grey buggers- hairs on the inside of the labia?

Do you have to hold your flaps open? (Sorry!)

TittyGolightly · 12/03/2017 20:07

I couldn't be bothered with the faff so had it all lasered off years ago. Highly recommend it.

skerrywind · 12/03/2017 20:07

highinthesky

And why not?

Part of my womanhood is the fact that my vulva is hairy . I really don't get this idea that we have to look like pre pubecent girls.

ZilphasHatpin · 12/03/2017 20:10

Confused you don't have to.

But funnily enough some women like different things than you and prefer to have no hair.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 12/03/2017 20:10

Titty - what sort of laser? And where did you go?

Can it do the perineum area as well?! I get 10 foot long buggers there!

BartholinsSister · 12/03/2017 20:11

Chicken usually the waxing woman (or man) will manipulate the labia as and where necessary to access any hairs. They have a better view.

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 12/03/2017 20:11

Chicken - only one flap at a time, the other's covered by paper pants. A very weird experience, I only did it the once and after that waxed my own!

steff13 · 12/03/2017 20:12

Yes, they take off ALL the hairs, and no, they hold the "flaps" open. The only thing I ever hold open is my butt cheeks when she does the rear.

BoffinMum · 12/03/2017 20:13

I recently decided to go the full Leo Sayer after reading that this was recommended to the Olympic women's cycle team for health purposes, and I have never felt better.

BoffinMum · 12/03/2017 20:14

Skerry, I get what you are saying.

Oh lordy. I wondered how long it would be would be before 'pre pubescent girls' was rolled out.

FYI I have it all off. I do not look like a pre pubescent girl. There is a lot about an adult vulva that is different to a childs other than the hair.

And yes OP. Your waxer just isnt very good
