AIBU?

AIBU to expect all the hair to be removed having a Hollywood bikini wax?

Had four of these waxes now and they always leave bits. Is it really possible to remove all the hair? Or is my waxing lady not very good? Or are my pubes super strength? Confused

I went to sk:n in central London.

Had full legs, underarms and bikini done (all off including underneath and my bum). Was about 10 years ago and all but a few (literally 3 or 4 hairs) have stayed away since, despite pregnancy etc.

Oh titty m I would love to get that done. How much did it all cost and was it very painful?

Do you mind me asking how much that cost Titty? X

I just can't imagine letting someone not a lover or a medical necessity furtle about with my labia. Not happening here.

Sorry to add a stupid comment to this thread, but I'm interested to know why some people want to have all their hair removed? What's the gain? (genuine question, not a judgment!)

The OP is presumably an adult woman who can do what the hell she wants to with her own body hair

It's just as wrong to have a go at someone for choosing to wax as it is to have a go at someone for being hairy. What other women choose to do is fuck all to do with anyone else.

I have no experience of waxing but I generally would say yanbu to expect an all off wax to get all the hairs off!

I tried going back to the good old full bush, but hated it , so wipe clean surface here.

It was about £1500 all together and took around 9 months. I was paying £50 a month to a salon for waxing though.

Feels like being pricked with pins but not sore.

Was it proper laser and not IPL then?

I want one mega session with a mega full throttle blast of laser to kill all hairs dead forever.

Thanks titty

why some people want to have all their hair removed? What's the gain

Speaking only for myself: it feels better than having hair, it is easier to clean myself during my period than when I have hair, I found hair would get "caught" in my knicker edge and it would pull and hurt, taking it all off is easier and less faff than trying to shave and make it look even on both sides.

I like to feel tidy and soft.
And feel everything more when DTD.

The reason I like mine all off is because I like the clean feeling, and it makes me feel super sexy. It get the same feeling as walking a round as you do wearing brand new sexy lingerie, no one sees it but me and my DH but it makes me feel good.
Plus it's great when swimming/on holiday etc, no issues with a wearing a light colour swim suit

It was ipl, but was whatever the best kind was back then. Way stronger than anything you can buy for home use.

I started doing the full Hollywood after reading an article where the journalist said that when it grew back it was like having sex with fur knickers on. She was right!

If you like sex then it makes it much easier to come, IMO. Worth the pain.

please be honest with me, I only ever get my eyebrows waxed. I got under my arms done once but I found it really painful. I am an absolute chicken shit when it comes to pain, really the most cowardly lion about. Do you really think I could cope getting it all of? Everything? I love having nothing at all there but I currently need about an hour in the house alone with some veet and 2 mirrors. How long does it take and honest account of the pain please? Also as I'm being nosy, what does the regrowth look like and how long between waxes and do I trim before I go?

Yes it should be completely removed everywhere. She's not very good.

I get waxed because when I don't I find the hair very coarse and itchy, I feel sweatier down there and, as pp said, it's easier to clean during my period.

I also don't feel very sexy when there are wispy, spidery hairs sticking out the side of my underwear or bikini. DP doesn't mind at all but I don't like the look of it.

Why, in a thread clearly about Hollywood waxes, do people come and moan about the whole concept of hair removal. OP wasn't asking opinions, she was asking if her beautician was a bit crap. Which she is:

It gets right on my tits when people come on threads like this spouting crap about looking prepubescent girls. Maybe they would but it's actually quite naive to not know lots of women's vulvas look nothing like girls because of their labia minora.

To the person who asked, I like it off because I orgasm easier. I PERSONALLY feel cleaner especially at totm. My husband prefers it when going down on me as do I. I just don't like hair.

Please change your name to veet and 2 mirrors

Good Lord, I salute your pain threshold to be undergoing it regularly Shock

Have experimented with the entire spectrum, from that to full natural in all its glory, and stick with simple Map Of Tassie these days, so as to retain ability to walk normally afterwards.

To be serious, though: yes it is possible to have virtually the full Kojak (bar about 3 hairs), as the extremely thorough waxer proved my one time...seek someone better, personal recommendations from friends always your best bet.

Slightly off-topic, but always loved Veet's 2009 Aussie hair removal ad:
