Would bunk beds for a parent and child be absolutely ridiculous?

Trying to work out logistics of having a baby/child in a flat with only one bedroom. There's a lounge, bathroom, TINY kitchen and bedroom. None of the rooms are large.

I was thinking of maybe having bunk beds in the bedroom but is this just stupid ... ?

If you think to years gone by, you would have very large families in small houses. They managed completely fine, no problems.

Would you be moving between 3&4 to ensure a better school? Just wondered as it's rather specific in age.

People will ask questions, it comes as part of the territory when you ask for advice. Smile

One of my childhood classmates died by accidentally hanging herself getting out of a bunk bed. See similar stories in the press from time to time.

I appreciate it's not the biggest risk in the world, but I'm not able to trust the things.

Owning a one bed outright puts you in a much better position than most people, OP. My friend has had her dd in a one-bed for years - first they shared the bedroom and as the dd got older the mum moved into the sitting room. They are really happy. Dd is about 14 now.

Don't have twins though!!

No problem being asked questions but then I also think I can decline to answer :) No, not to get to a better school (the local one is outstanding, whatever that is worth!) but just because that's an age where a garden, friends round to play and so on are more needed. Plus, I won't be paying huge amounts in CC.
