Anyone else a little envious of celeb mums like Holly Willoughby?

I know I am being totally irrational and unreasonable but does anyone else think like this? Holly seems to have the ideal life. Great job, great working hours. Husband who earns well. Beautiful, healthy children. Can afford a great house, good child care, close to her sister, turns her hand to most things and makes good money from her ventures blah blah.. Same with Louise Redknapp, great lifestyle business she runs with a friend, beautiful husband , lovely home, supportive extended family. It's not like they are awesomely great at what they do.. I just feel a little envious that's all. Daft isn't it!

No I don't.. Look at Coleen Rooney married to someone who was with a prostitute weeks before her baby. Not all of them gave perfect lives at all.

Also how much actually time does Holly get with her children if she is out from very early then late night shows like last night.. Her business and I am not judging but it isn't what I want.

Do you really know everything that's happening in her life? A lot of people look happy on the outside. Being envious of someone you don't even know is a bit silly!

I don't know who she is but I do know I would hate to be a celebrity in any shape or form.

I know what you mean OP but Equally i don't doubt they have their shit to deal with behind closed doors either - or indeed in the public eye for many celebs !

No. I would hate my picture to appear in the paper along with "she hasn't lost the baby weight or doesn't she look tired!"
I would hate to have to worry about the safety of my kids like the Beckhams kidnapping threat.

No. Because you don't know what goes on behind closed doors and all that. I am also a big believer in not worrying what others appear to have as it will make feck all difference to my life.

I wouldn't be Holly Willoughby for all the tea in china. Ex-partner of a friend was on This Morning crew. There is no way I would want her life.

No, i don't, not even remotely, it simply wouldn't occur even to me. Lots of people more successful than me, lots of people less successful. That's life really.

Is ther something wrong that's causing uou to feel this way?

Anyway. Who wants to be a celeb when you think about it? You cant walk around Sainsburys or take your kids for a pizza without someone taking your photo. No thanks.

No, it's all about selling yourself as a brand and you can never be seen to be doing something which will damage that. The pressure must be horrible and if cracks do start to show the press will be on you like a swarm of flies.

I wouldn't like to be in someone like HW's shoes. Don't think I'd be able to cope with having had no sleep, or feeling ill, or having a row with DH and then having to go on air being all sweetness and light.

I know a few celebrities. You are 'on' all the time. Having a following is like having a newborn - this squalling ball of demands that you aren't quite sure how to interpret but must be pandered to at all times. Not for me, I'm too lazy for a start

I mean, it would be nice to have no money worries but if I had to choose between that and having no privacy, pictures taken wherever I go, being talked about and judged in the papers and on the internet I'd rather stay on my £14k a year.

She will hardly see her kids and be at her lovely home.

She won't just turn up at 10am ready to go on air for This Morning then clock off at half 12. There will be hair and makeup, planning meetings, reviewing the news, researching interviewees, pre recording clips for other shows and so on.

I bet she is at the This Morning studio from 7-2 minimum every day she is on.

Then she does late night shows like Celeb Juice and Play to the Whistle and other bits like Surprise Surprise all the stuff that goes with them.

Never mind the books and other business ventures.

She might be very rich and beautiful but I don't envy how much she works.

I'm quite a bit envious at the moment of anyone who is wealthy enough that they can afford to hire a professional nanny to take over the 8pm to 8am shift. I'd love s piece of that. DS hasn't been sleeping well the past three weeks.

We don't know the real Holly Willoughby or anything about her life only the façade that she chooses to show publicly. Do I envy her - absolutely not.

Im same OP. Ok she she probably has long days at work and money worries etc but overall she is doing a job she loves, can provide for her family, has a wealth of people on hand to help her look fab for tv, invites to great events and a network of other celebs who are in the thick of it too and can offer a support network.

Jools Oliver is another one.

I would hate to be her, or any other famous celebrity for that matter.
I can't think of anything worse than not being able to go out without being recognized.
Then there is the pressure to look perfect all the time, otherwise they end up on the front page of some trashy mag with a headline saying 'look how xxx has let herself go'.

I would like to be rich, but not famous. No way.

I'd like the money but that's about it. I would hate to be famous and living in a goldfish bowl. Celeb mum's brand is all about appearing like you can have it all. However, they work hard to maintain that brand. They will be made to earn that money and are one dodgy tweet or coke scandal away from ruin. No thanks, I'll keep my ordinary middle class life thanks.

All that glitters ain't gold although I can imagine it would be fun in your twenties.
