AIBU?

Anyone else a little envious of celeb mums like Holly Willoughby?

I know I am being totally irrational and unreasonable but does anyone else think like this? Holly seems to have the ideal life. Great job, great working hours. Husband who earns well. Beautiful, healthy children. Can afford a great house, good child care, close to her sister, turns her hand to most things and makes good money from her ventures blah blah.. Same with Louise Redknapp, great lifestyle business she runs with a friend, beautiful husband , lovely home, supportive extended family. It's not like they are awesomely great at what they do.. I just feel a little envious that's all. Daft isn't it!

There was a gossipy thread once about super injunctions. Louise Redknapp (or rather, her husband) was mentioned. So no, all that shines is not gold.

Pippa definitely got the last laugh. She's bagged herself a good looking wealthy guy and she won't have to spend the rest of her life under constant scrutiny.

Philip Scofields a good example of a man whose wife stays out of the spot light. She'll have the benefit of lots of money without having to be in the lime light herself. The down sid of course is being married to him.

She's co hosting a boring travel show with him on Monday nights (I think!) in between the Corrie episodes. She's also been on TM a few times.

Oh is she, never seen her before. Phil not content with being on practically everything on tv, now wants to get his wife in on the act eh.

Like a PP, I'd LOVE to be rich. But I have no desire to be famous. Ideally I'd like to win the lottery.

I really like and admire Holly W (and I like Phil too...which apparently makes me unusual!) But I wouldn't want to be her.

Wasn't Peaches Geldof also thought to have a 'perfect' life at one point? I expect there is a lot more going on behind the scenes and I certainly wouldn't want the constant pressure of having to always appear perfect.

Couldn't give a fuck about any of them and their lives.

I'm genuinely not being bitchy but do people actually think holly and pippas partners are good looking? I'm quite shocked at that, genuinely I really am.

Hollys husband I remember thinking he was batting way out of his league and was surprised she was with him, I mean Jesus, even I'd tell him to do one, and pippas husband I thought it was clearly as he was rich she was with him and his looks were highly unfortunate. Maybe they are both lovely men, but on the looks scale, definitely not so much.😏

That was a strange little story that appeared in the press a few weeks ago. HW rang the police to report that her Range Rover had been stolen from outside the house, the police investigated and found the car at the offices of her husbands production company. Very odd.

Maybe she isn't so shallow to think that looks are everything Wink

I think William used to bed but now he doesn't. James Matthews is quite old for Pippa but she has had a lot of non commital type men and they have been friends so that obviously counts for a lot.

Bluntness, yup i think HW' s DH is ugly, in fact very strange looking indeed!

I am sick of the sight of her simpleton face tbh

Honestly, I don't really register these kind of women. It really is like some kind of Plastic Factory for them - nice, slightly above average intelligence, blonde hair, yada yada. I think they are probably very privilged actually - but don't know it. Kate Gallaway, a slightly older version, was rabbiting on in the Telegraph about her sex escapades with her husband.

Its sad in a way. I always liked the older women, but they've just got shot of them all on TV now.

I must be shallow too! Having been married to someone for their personality however, i have come to realise that you do actually have to fancy the person as well. Well i have to anyways!

I always quite liked Fern Britton. She just had a certain sensitivity and genuine charm I don't find these other plastica type presenters have.

Yes, I always think Holly leads the perfect life. Great job, very attractive, wealthy and her and her husband appear very happy together. She's a lucky girl!

I loved Fern Britton and it was shame they replaced her. I also really liked Judy. She carried the program, not her husband.

I envy women who haven't had to work as hard as I do, but because they married well, have a better standard of life.

I don't envy Holly as she gets so little time with her children and has no private life, being in the public eye.

I LOVED Judy! and Richard. I breastfed DSs while watching them. Happy days.

Yep, liked Judy too. Always felt they were 'real women' in the best sense of the word. Can't say the same for their successors.

Absolutely no chance for all he reasons pp have mentioned !!

I'd like the money though !! Is do the job I do now but on a casual freelance basis just for something to do some days when dc at school . Get a bigger house and buy what I wanted when I wanted . Rest of the time lots of holidays . But that would basically just be my life but a version that ££££ could afford
