Saving car park space

Today whilst I was taking my five year old to
Hospital appointment I circled the car park 3 times looking for some where to park . It was getting closer to His appointment time , I spotted a space being emptied in my rear view mirror so drove around again (4th time ) I noticed a black vw pull in to the car park behind me stop and a lady in her late 40's jump out when I got around to the possible available space , said lady was stood in the car space I indicated to enter it , wound down my window and asked if she could move please . She said she couldn't as she was reserving the space .
I pointed out that you can't just stand in a spot to reserve it and the only way the spot could be reserved is by the hospital policy she carried on standing there , I admit I did at this point lose my temper and told her to move her effing ass or I will be at liberty to mow "ur bitch ass down " she told me her husband is waiting to get in the spot to which I told who effing cares I plonk my car ; as much as I could in the space. Me and my little boy got out and got a ticket to my return to a very very angry husband who if I didn't move my car was going to report me to the hospital security. He banged my car , kicked the wheel , I put the ticket in and walked off car half in half out .
I never been so angry with them and my self why does parking make us all insane !

Good for you op! I'm glad you stood up for yourself. Please don't worry about what you said, I think I'd have said the same in a stressful situation! Hope your lad's hearing improves!

madmoon - I don't think you're being unreasonable to want to park in the space.

It's patently ridiculous that someone can come along, see a space, place a human cone in it, go off and do something else (otherwise their car would be IN the space) and then return to it whenever they fancy.

It's first come, first served. Perhaps the gentleman could have gone in, parked up, then walked with his wife to whatever it is he wanted to do. But no, some people think the world revolves around them.

The only thing I'd say is the use of language like that (while highly amusing btw!) always seems to get people to go to 10, no matter how right you are :(

Oh c'mon yabu-ers! How saintly are you lot?! So if the op had already asked and been refused, she upped the ante with a bit of sweariness and resolved the situation to the correct and fair outcome! What's the problem? That the woman would be offended? Fuck that, if someone's going to act like a cunt then they'll get called on it from time to time! And from the reaction of the couple afterwards it was well deserved.

Touché op - YANBU at all!

watermelongun · 22/02/2017 12:01

And bwahahaha on your choice of sweariness Grin

madmoon · 22/02/2017 12:21

Watermelon bet you can tell I don't swear very often haha , I have always been totally rubbish at it

9/10...OP, we'll done for putting them in their place. I would've told em to move too

Full marks could've been achieved with usage of the C word or 'bellend'

MOISTOWLETT · 22/02/2017 22:39

Oh YADNBU, this made me laugh so hard! "Move your fucking arse or ill mow your bitch arse down" GrinGrin
