Or turning into a aul hag..............

So today I decided the Eyebrows needed a good pluck (I've got a great little Ikea lamp that shows all the strays)

Anyway, I found 3.
THREE big curly black hairs! at an inch long! just sat, growing there (smug bastards) from my chin and neck. (Neck wtf?)
And I'm going grey!

Do you have any signs, ???

Lighthearted.

Lots of things but recently I have been enjoying watching Prunella Scales and Timothy West in Great Canal Journeys

I even record it now if I have to work

Littlebatcalledlucille · 21/02/2017 16:00

Or when you hear a song and sing along and the kids ask how you know it

and you rant about the original version being better!

I do the 'ooof' too.

At work saying "I'm a bit hot" and somebody replying "could it be The Change?". Bloody rude! I'm only 38!

mathsy · 21/02/2017 16:05

Oh and absolutely no idea what's in the top 40 anymore. And more importantly, not caring Smile

trulybadlydeeply · 21/02/2017 16:07

Having to take my reading glasses out to restaurants, otherwise I can't see the menu!

MadisonAvenue · 21/02/2017 16:08

Eyebrows getting longer and whiter. WTF?

Chin hair.

Grey hair. I wasn't supposed to go grey! My hair has always been the same colour as my Nan's hair and hers just faded to a lighter blonde. Mine's now greying around the hairline and there's a streak of grey from the crown.

Several old schoolfriends have grandchildren.

MadisonAvenue · 21/02/2017 16:11

Oh, and my favourite band are playing a HUGE open air concert this Summer and I looked and thought, nope it'll be too long a day, lots of standing around etc whereas a couple of years ago I'd have been queuing at the crack of dawn to make sure I got to the front

womanwithoutasong · 21/02/2017 16:13

Bruises take FOREVER to go. I'm talking months.

I'm always looking forward to a cup of tea and a sit down.

Wish my hair would go grey. Would save a fortune in highlights.

amusedbush · 21/02/2017 16:14

I've started watching and really enjoying Who Do You Think You Are? on BBC.

Spending more and more time wondering how I've hurt myself now.

Finding inch-long chin bristles that have appeared overnight.

I'm not even 27 yet Sad

moonchild77 · 21/02/2017 16:20

When I see youngsters with those ripped jeans I comment to dp
"she needs a needle and thread" every time!

LotsOfAxolotlsAndOcelots · 21/02/2017 16:21

Decided to search on Ebay for an MB games Memory Game I had as a kid in the 60's. Clicked on one that said 'vintage' and it's from 1984!!!

Nabootique · 21/02/2017 16:27

I'm another oofer, when getting out of a chair.

I haven't found anything I want to buy from River Island, Top Shop or Miss Selfridge for about 10 years.

I am put off having a night out unless the conditions are exactly right. So not raining, not cold, my feet don't hurt, I'm not tired, I can afford it, I know how and when I'm getting home. I mostly talk myself out of it and stay in.

user1486737884 · 21/02/2017 16:29

Grin at cup of tea and a sit down
I am nodding my head at so many of the posts on this thread.

PineapplePolly · 21/02/2017 16:29

I demonstrated a pirouette and gave myself a rather nasty bruise. Apparently the double didn't count as I fell over before completing! It seems to make my teenagers cringe for some reason, too Grin

Hurt my back showing that I could still do handstands well. I should give up on the physical stuff.

Out of touch with popular music, tv, culture.

Buying those large knickers from Sainsbury's that I'd have rather died than worn years ago. They're retro looking and very comfortable and I really don't care actually.

Now 95 album! Now 10 was the last one I owned.

PineapplePolly · 21/02/2017 16:30

Yep, nothing nicer than a cup of tea and a sit down Grin

Isabella70 · 21/02/2017 16:32

Feeling more at home on gransnet

ThisThingCalledLove · 21/02/2017 16:32

You all sound like my kind of people!

Just the other day DH said we are turning into my
Grand parents. This was as he held the car door open for me on our trip out for a cup of tea coffee at the garden centre

Just read that Kurt Cobain would have been 50 - 50! I remember crying in a nightclub when he died. One of my teens is now wearing all my 90s clothes and clumpy shoes - and ironically loves Nirvana.

ClashCityRocker · 21/02/2017 16:33

When my df came round after her Dh was being an arsehole to her, I didn't suggest scratching his favourite CDs or snipping holes in the crotch of all his trousers or to march round there and tear him a new arsehole.

I offered her a hot sweet cup of tea.

Nights out are never spontaneous and have to wait until the omens are favourable.

Every conversation contains at least one reference to the weather.

Gigs - no more standing for me.

ThisThingCalledLove · 21/02/2017 16:34

And my user name is from a Johnny Cash song

In my defence I am "only" 40 but was born about 70 years old I think.

noeffingidea · 21/02/2017 16:34

Finding it very difficult to unfasten childproof medicine bottles.
Can't thread needles without using a special threader thing.

The80sweregreat · 21/02/2017 16:34

I look at drivers and think ' are they old enough to have a licence?'
grey hair, its war now. My hairdresser hides them well but they love springing back and they are ganging up on me now. Bastards.

apple, no idea who is who in the charts, its all collaborations with 'the wkend? someone called Drake ? .. hmm, whatever happened to nik kershaw eh?

Ariandenotgrande · 21/02/2017 16:35

I love a nap
I like going to bed early
I won't wear suede in the rain, I keep things 'for good' and I haven't seen anything I like in any shops for ages as I'm very aware I have seen all the fashions before.
I make a ooh noise going up the stairs
I talk about the weather to strangers whilst out walking in a sensible but quite ugly raincoat...Oh feck I'm old.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 21/02/2017 16:37

My kids teachers look about 24.
Sweating for no reason at all denial
Switching the radio OFF in the car because it just sounds like noise.

I am 39.

The80sweregreat · 21/02/2017 16:37

A cup of tea, i just want a nice cup of tea.
if i;m out and they give me those tiny milk carton things i cannot get them open without pouring most of it over me.
mind you , opening most packets and parcels is a struggle.
