OK my son is in bed I'll feeling sick and dizzy when he stands up. I went in to work yesterday and my mum covered. Need to take today off so called work. They've told me to leave him in bed and go in!?!

Yes. I worked in London from the ages of 23 to 31. 8 years. Many.

Was consulting before this job (which I was headhunted for). But whatever, grandma.

Grandma isn't a term of abuse, when I am one I will be proud of it! I'll have brought my children up, not the local drunks or unemployed, and watch my grandchildren be brought up well by caring parents that look after them when they are ill Smile

I love how you're all ignoring that the employer has raised issues about this before, so it's far from a one off, but are all patting her on the back and telling her the employer has no right to be miffed.

Don't really see how it makes a difference - if your kid is ill then they're ill no matter how much your employer kicks off. I can't magically make mine not ill and/or conjure up hoardes of available friends, neighbours and grandparents to have him for me.

Hecan'tbeserious- I hope your employers never find out the way you talk to people on line and the views you express! I guess the name is true, you really can't be serious with the comments you make.
