Especially to the working mums with children under 10 or under 5.
Just interested to know what percentage are watching the children vs being holed up in their man-caves.

Have a lovely weekend everyone Wine

Heyheyheygoodbye · 17/02/2017 20:42

He's gone out for chips Grin I married well.

OdinsLoveChild · 17/02/2017 20:43

He's at work, back at 4am. Kids are running riot upstairs as I've got the plague and lost my voice. Its bloody difficult to shout at the kids when nothing but a squeak comes out. Confused

DP flew to Ireland this morning for emergency talks with his son ( now grown up and about to be a dad) to deal with the emotional fall out from his childhood. Complicated back story DP was not as involved as he could have/ should have been. Very difficult relationship with his ex at the time. Hope they work it out.

PerpendicularVincent · 17/02/2017 20:51

He's just been to the supermarket to get milk and some crisps, and is waiting downstairs for our takeaway whilst I try and get DS to sleep.

He's great, and does loads to support us both.

Winteriscominginnit · 17/02/2017 20:55

I have 3 cats under 10 and DH is in his mancave playing computer games. Luckily the cats are behaving for the time being.

SellMySoulForSomeSleep · 17/02/2017 20:57

Having his daily very very long shit. Luckily DD is already in bed.

FourKidsNotCrazyYet · 17/02/2017 20:59

Thank you clem. He's in Afghanistan so I hope so too Sad

Wriggler79 · 17/02/2017 20:59

Gone to bed. He was celebrating his MOT being fine in the pub, dragged a friend round (gone when we got in), and had a couple more beers and a sandwich I made him eat before trailing off to bed. I'd been to a relative's with the DCs (not his). Usually he makes tea for us all to come in to, but he's obviously enjoyed himself far too much today!
I'll be sleeping on the sofa tonight. He snores like a buffalo with a heavy cold when he's been drinking!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 17/02/2017 21:00

Dh walked in from work 20 minutes ago, asked if I'd eaten, tidied the kitchen and has now gone to McDonald's. 3 DC under 6 and another on the way. Sometimes I really love him...There are other times I could throttle him though Grin

poochiepants · 17/02/2017 21:02

Fast asleep on a Saturday morning. He's working out in Australia, I'm in SW London....

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 17/02/2017 21:40

Odin for some reason that made me cackle.

DH got home after 1 hr commute around 730. Helped me finish bathing dd then took over bedtime whilst I ran around putting away the 5 loads of laundry I did today when working at home! Then both of us downstairs and he made dinner whilst I did some stretches for my tight back. Now sitting in our his n hers pensioners' armchairs by the gas fire, dh reading a new German novel and I am about to pick up Middlemarch.

Dd snoozing in her cot upstairs, appliances humming in the kitchen at the other end of the house, and dh occasionally turning a page.... ahhh, all is right with the world!

I am in my 30s not my 90s, honest

Kim82 · 17/02/2017 21:42

Mine is lying on the sofa watching tv and scoffing a family sized bar of galaxy - how the man still has a 32 inch waist I'll never know. Bastard!

KayTee87 · 17/02/2017 21:44

Mine finished work an hour early and took the baby out for a long walk while I did some housework. Then he cooked the dinner while I collected our nephew from nursery. Baby and toddler dn were both asleep for 7.30 so we've just been relaxing in front of the Tv since then.

SparkleSoiree · 17/02/2017 21:46

Mine has just brought me some desert and my first alcoholic drink of the evening!

Bantanddec · 17/02/2017 21:46

Trying to beat all my high scores on just dance Grin

haveacupoftea · 17/02/2017 21:50

Sat on the sofa watching golf. I'm upstairs having a lie down. Will go down shortly.

Montezumasrevenge · 17/02/2017 21:51

He's in the pub, returning to the landlady various bits of crockery/glasses that we somehow have magically accumulated Grin
He worked all day, hoovered and walked the dogs before he went though.
His tea is still in the oven leftovers, I wonder if he might end up with pub takeaway crockery again.

LBOCS2 · 17/02/2017 21:57

He is currently doing bedtime with the middle child, having taken the two older ones out bowling and to lunch this morning and cooking dinner for all five of us this evening - three different dinners, because daddy is a soft touch and takes requests!

He's good as gold really.

LovelyBath77 · 17/02/2017 21:59

Mine is asleep in DS (8)'s bed after reading him a story.

RosyGold · 17/02/2017 22:00

Mine is playing PlayStation with his son, both younger girls already in bed - 1 year old settled by me, his 3 year old settled by him, it's our weekend with his 2 other kids so later bedtime for the weans than usual! I've just ordered a Chinese and am currently having a crafty fag and MN browse outside 😜👍🏻

Llanali · 17/02/2017 22:01

Sat next to me on the sofa stroking one of the dogs, whilst I half arsed play with another dog.
We are both half watching blacklist and reading on phones/kindle. Big glass of squash to share because im off booze due to tonsillitis!

Gingernut81 · 17/02/2017 22:01

He's looking after DD all night whilst I'm holed up in a premier inn getting a decent night's sleep Grin

IAmALeafOnTheWindWatchHowISoar · 17/02/2017 22:04

I'm in a different time zone as well and today is the first day of our weekend, no half term here.

Today my DH and eldest DC have taken part in a triathlon. So we were up and all five of us have showered and dressed and breakfasted and got our bits ready for a day out so depending who was where in that cycle supervised the kids in what they were doing.

He then drove 2hrs to the city, did the triathlon, drove back home, helped put the youngest to bed, empty and fill the dishwasher, empty and fill the washing machine and hang out the washing. Then he had a shower and has gone to bed. I'm led on the sofa and MNing whilst listening to my guilty pleasure, John Barrowman.

Welshmaenad · 17/02/2017 22:17

No idea what my other half is doing, he doesn't live with me. Eating biscuits and arguing with fascists on Twitter would be a guess.

My children's father is looking after his children. Well, hopefully they are asleep. I have to work over half term so he has taken the week off and they will be with him for nine days. They're off to London for a city break.
