Especially to the working mums with children under 10 or under 5.
Just interested to know what percentage are watching the children vs being holed up in their man-caves.

So jealous of the people with husbands who are home before 7:30. Mine rarely is, and never cooks family meals, tho capable of ordering take away if pushed.

Grass is always greener tho...

SumThucker · 17/02/2017 18:09

Doesn't apply to them then, eh Yellowbird Hmm

Pugmomma · 17/02/2017 18:10

Watching the news, DD is in bed - she's under the weather and took herself up! There's a first for everything 😊

YerTiz · 17/02/2017 18:10

Running the DC's bath.

restofthetimes · 17/02/2017 18:10

On the train home. Star

user1472334322 · 17/02/2017 18:11

He's on the way home, having picked the car up after its service. He's very good with dc and with stuff round the house actually. I'm very lucky. Although I wish he'd load the dishwasher AND turn it on rather than just loading it!! Grin

glueandstick · 17/02/2017 18:11

He's gone out to get something for dinner (I can't be arsed tonight) and I'm having a snooze on the sofa. Love tiring days when kiddo is in bed by 5.30.

witsender · 17/02/2017 18:13

Dh is currently sat in the couch making a pom pom for DD. He's just lit the fire. Kids are playing on the floor in front of us.

Bythepath · 17/02/2017 18:14

On the way home. He left early so he can get my eldest from her friends and save me dragging the baby out. He is never usually home before 6:30pm.

natwebb79 · 17/02/2017 18:15

Playing hide and seek with our two before showering them. I'm sitting on my arse drinking coffee shouting 'HOT DRINK!!' every time one of them runs too near me. I will join in bedtime milk, teeth and story though. 50/50 round here.

salsamad · 17/02/2017 18:15

He's only just got in from work but already he's in the lounge rubbing down the filler in the new skirting and then painting the ceiling. I'm in the kitchen cooking a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings.

blackpoolassy · 17/02/2017 18:16

Still at work

MsJamieFraser · 17/02/2017 18:16

He's making tea and painting ds1 bedroom ready for a sleepover in the afternoon as it's ds1 birthday weekend.

Kbear · 17/02/2017 18:16

He's just gone to the pub. I've just got in from work and was supposed to be going too but DS is poorly so I'm getting comfy and slippers on and staying home. (DH got the short straw and was with DS all day taking temps and clearing up (if you get my drift)..)

Quiettiger · 17/02/2017 18:17

Mine is still working, having started at 5.30am. We're lambing at the moment and have a lot of very pregnant ewes. He'll come into the house in about 15 minutes, spend some time with 2 year old DD, bath her with me and then put her to bed. Then he'll go back out and carry on...

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 17/02/2017 18:17

He's at karate with DD.

SagelyNodding · 17/02/2017 18:17

Ooh roast chicken here too! DH made it, now we're both on the sofa while the dc play upstairs ☺

humblesims · 17/02/2017 18:18

Well, mine's in his man cave.

Longdistance · 17/02/2017 18:18

Mine's out looking for his dad, as he's been unwell, so gone to check he's ok. Then he's bringing back fish and chips.

He's been home today whilst I went work as dd's have chicken pox, and I've already had 2 days off looking after them, and one the week before as dd1 was sick.

That's not to say I've had to really put my point across as to why he has to have a day off parenting Hmm

missmapp · 17/02/2017 18:18

Adding a printer to use new laptop. He has just cleared up after tea. I took the dcs out today so he could work in peace. Tomorrow is my turn for peace Wink

GrumpySausage · 17/02/2017 18:18

He's making DS's tea and trying to convince him vegetable ravioli is nice. I'm sat on the sofa mumsnetting.

He's been at work today and i haven't. I'm being spoilt. 😊

Yellowbird54321 · 17/02/2017 18:18

Indeed sum, it's all rather niche isn't it.

Pretty much all the cooking, shopping, menu planning.

No issues with me going out on weekends with friends although it's not that frequent. Happy to look after DS who is 4.

Comes with me to soft plays on Sat am and does most active play.

Not much in the way of housework but does occasional load of washing and cleans kitchen after cooking.

I have no complaints (unless I'm pre-menstrual).

uncoolnn · 17/02/2017 18:19

He's cooking dinner. I can hear him listening and singing to his crap music while he does so Smile
