I can vaguely remember similar threads but have done a search and can't find a bedroom one. We are swapping rooms in our upstairs to even out the other 2 rooms so moving from front to back of house. Just being nosy looking for inspiration if anyone is willing to post? I can post our current one once DS is asleep Smile

Autumn that is a lovely colour....Our spare room, used to be DS1's is painted in a sort of dark electric blue....it is strangely relaxing especially with some gentle light.

I would take a pic but its still got shark decorations from DS2's party...and a pram

Foxesarefriends · 03/02/2017 10:11

Bit rude weekelpie, I don't understand why others would go to the trouble of searching the Internet for photos of other people's bedrooms and pass them off as their own.
So weird, such a shame on a nice thread too.

We could all look at Pinterest, it's nice to see real rooms.

WeeKelpie, I love your bedroom, it's beautiful!

CaraAspen · 03/02/2017 10:15

"Klaphat

Crumbs yours looks like a hotel room. Even with the nicely placed magazine!

Google image search turns up an awful lot of hits relating to Hotel Vernet, Paris."

Tee hee...

CaraAspen · 03/02/2017 10:16

"Lovesabadboy

Zukiecat - I love that you have a Zingy on your wall!!

Some amazing bedrooms here - straight out of magazines!"

Yep.

WeeKelpie · 03/02/2017 10:17

Cinammon, thank you. The art work was done by my friend Anna Dudchenko. They're prints though, not originals

Each of the prints means something personal to me so for eg, the two monkeys on the sofa are my two eldest sons and the one in the bottom right hand corner is me because after my seperation I started going on holidays, I took up Golf, and got myself a Mac. The one of the thinker is my youngest child who's severely autistic, and the frog one is a joke between me and my girls.

Some of thes are really lovely. It is actually quite hard to take. I tried panorama on my phone but i didn't know how to work that. Mine is quite big with dressing area and en suite bathroom and I like the high ceilings and sash windows and total absence of anyone else's junk in there but it is the same carpets and curtains that were up from when we moved in a long time ago - nearly 20 years and my bed was bought 30 years ago.

And just for completeness part of the en suite bathroom - circa 1980s when the house was built!

Foxes, I'm sorry, but I don't know why you've said I'm rude.

Foxesarefriends · 03/02/2017 10:25

Because you said 'well it gave you something to do' when another poster asked why people would put fake photos up.

I hope that explains it Smile

WeeKelpie · 03/02/2017 10:27

Thank you to everyone else who has liked my bedroom. I knew what I wanted but didn't know how to put it together so I had help with it.

CaraAspen · 03/02/2017 10:30

"WanderingTrolley1

Love it."

That is weird. I can't seem to copy the photograph of your amazing bedroom here.

Foxesarefriends · 03/02/2017 10:31

It's on my link Cara, the rightmove one.

I concur. It was rude and inexplicable. What is dishonest is stealing a photograph and passing it off, rather pathetically, as your own. Any comment on that sort of behaviour forthcoming, I wonder...

Yes. Wink
I saw it and found it v v amusing.

FunkyChunk · 03/02/2017 10:37

Here's ours. It's quite small and there isn't much room at the end of the bed but I LOVE it. Duck egg blue and light grey. My favourite things are my dressing table and the wallpaper behind the bed. I've added a pic of the wallpaper as you can't see it in the bedroom shot. Smile

This is beautiful:

I love that sort of faded grandeur look. Wabi-sabi is so cool.

sonyaya · 03/02/2017 10:41

Could that be wandering's new house on Rightmove or am I being generous?

Foxesarefriends · 03/02/2017 10:42

Yes it could be, it's from 2013 but yes, I did think that afterwards.

I knew why you said it was rude, but I didnt understand why.

I think if a person is going to reverse search pictures then say its what they've done whilst implying there's more than one 'pretend' bedroom on the thread the last thing they should be doing is pointing a finger at those posters. The former is just fantasy or wishful thinking, the latter just causes unnecessary suspicion and is not the same as the first poster who did a search on Crumbs very obvious fake bedroom. That poster had the courage of her convictions. The latter didn't. She's just underhanded.

UnimaginativeUser · 03/02/2017 10:43

This is mine. Love the wallpaper but it was put up by the previous owner and the rest of the room is now in dire need of decorating so will have to go. Also, hate the blinds. Cheap, fake wood effect metal venetians! Will be replaced by lovely white wooden ones when we decorate (probably in about 10 years time!)

HmmmHmm

NomDePlumeReloaded · 03/02/2017 10:45

All the fake/stolen photos are a bit baffling, aren't they? What's to be gained? A bunch of internet strangers think you have good taste/are wealthier/posher/tidier than you are in reality? If it's some sort of 'protection of anonymity' or avoiding outing yourself thing then surely just don't post a pic? Confused. People are weird.
