I can vaguely remember similar threads but have done a search and can't find a bedroom one. We are swapping rooms in our upstairs to even out the other 2 rooms so moving from front to back of house. Just being nosy looking for inspiration if anyone is willing to post? I can post our current one once DS is asleep Smile

Zukiecat - I love that you have a Zingy on your wall!!

Some amazing bedrooms here - straight out of magazines!

I love all these bedrooms, even the hotel ones! Grin Will take a pic of ours once my phone finishes charging and pop it up.

banangramspam · 03/02/2017 04:09

Ah Crumbs, I was totally in awe of that beautiful room! I was wondering what special treatment your cleaner needed to give that gorgeous chandelier...

My marriage ended after I'd been married for 36 years. People said get your bedroom re-decorated and make it nice for yourself. I couldn't. I was so lost I didn't know who I was so I emptied my room and I ended up with just a bed, bedside table, and chair in it for 3.5 years. Wardrobe was in the dressing area. My children were upset I had done it but they just accepted it was what I had to do. I mean, how do you know what to do with a bedroom as someone in your mid 50's when you've shared with someone for 36 years? Anyway, last year I felt ready for a new room and this is it. Im very happy in it.

This is what's on the easel in the corner. It's a mosaic of my favorite painting. I bought it at the Vatican last year.

I've namechanged for this thread. 😊

We have just got planning permission to make the existing side extension two storey.

Our bedroom is presently about 14x14 with a shower in a cupboard but a glorious square bay overlooking the garden. Oh, and is rammed with fitted wardrobes. Work starts September and the shower cupboard will be hanging space. The wardrobes will go. The bedroom next door will become our ensuite and dressing room and the extn will become the family bathroom. It will stay palest cream and pale green.

Cinnamon2013 · 03/02/2017 06:41

WeeKelpie - wow.

What an inspiration. Beautiful room (love the pictures). A really bold and bright new chapter for you.

BalloonSlayer · 03/02/2017 06:50

I thought it was pretty obvious from Crumbs' comment with her pic that she was taking the piss.

MissMrsMsXX · 03/02/2017 07:24

I'm so grateful for the inspiration on this thread.

NikaKaKa · 03/02/2017 09:11

@trixymalixy Thanks so much...will have a look!

LaPharisienne · 03/02/2017 09:29

I don't think crumbs1 was taking the piss. But I nearly died laughing... the artfully placed magazine!

Loving this thread. Our bedroom is rented and too little to be worth posting as it would just be a picture of an unremarkable double bed BUT I am keeping all of these in mind for when I have a real home of my own dreams

I quite like the dark furniture ginandonit, love the FB smokey blue paint and really like weekelpie's room!

happyfrown · 03/02/2017 09:45

buckeejit yes highland rust Smile I have highland wine check in my kitchen / living room too.

happyfrown · 03/02/2017 09:48

love the low light in the evening in my bedroom, feels cosy and relaxing.

BarchesterFlowers · 03/02/2017 09:57

Mine isn't inspiring and has been the same for twenty years, cream or neutral walls. Same for bedding, mismatched antique furniture inherited or bought at some point.

I haven't put my paintings up since decorating last - must do that.

I don't do much apart from emulsion the walls when I think they need it. DH recently pointed out that some of our bedding was threadbare!

I hate to say it but I've reversed searched a couple of the more shall we say "too perfect" pictures and they've been stolen from interior design websites & Pinterest Grin
Why bother posting a fake bedroom Hmm

Foxesarefriends · 03/02/2017 09:59

I don't understand why people would do it either.
Crumbs is definitely a fantasist, harmless but annoying.

Two of mine were 15 end of year 11 but yes many were 16 years by then. The £750 dress was for yr 13 leavers ball - cheap compared to many. Birthday parties she has attended in past year include flying twelve out to Spain for a week on a yacht and a private festival complete with yurts, portaloos, staging and cocktail bus for 150 (no ball gowns though)

stumpedifiknow · 03/02/2017 10:03

Here's mine...Grin
It's not fake it's my bedroom from when I lived in Buck palace about 10 years ago...honest Wink
