to wonder what planet the 'ban Trump from the UK' people are living on

Yes I understand that he's a sexist, racist, whatever-else-ist.

But he evidently thinks fondly of the UK, we are currently in the process of saying 'fuck off' to mainland Europe, so we will be a small, friendless island in the North Sea in need of some help.

AIBU to think that we need to suffer a bit of schmoozing from dodgy foreign leaders as part of post-Brexit Britain? (Actually didn't we already schmooze dodgy foreign leaders long before Brexit?)

And in reality Trump is rather less dodgy than the average world leader, if we exclude the EU, as we have done

What are the other choices?

He made many promises that he hasn't kept, is unlikely to keep or will be unable to keep. (See previous link)

Why on earth do you believe he's done 'exactly' what he said he would?

For example: He hasn't drained the swamp, he hasn't jailed Hillary and he won't even admit this is a Muslim ban even though that's what he said he'd do.

Beyond his regeneration of New York, I know very little about Donald Trump. I heard he was loaned a million dollars by his father, and if he turned a million into a billion then that's some going regardless of who you are.

You heard wrong. He inherited millions from his father and subsequently his businesses went bankrupt six times. He's incredibly cagy about how much money he actually has - such a shame he won't let anyone see his tax returns. So it's not "some going", is it?

No Ivy you are misinformed, it occurs throughout the ME and a few other muslim-majority countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia. Currently approx. 15 countries, some of which are: Somalia, Sudan, UAE, Yemen, the muslim part of Nigeria, etc. It may be against national policy, but it still occurs in some regions of all these countries because it is part of the culture.

Shes not misinformed. She said it happens in Saudi, which is does. The fact that it also occurs in other places does not mean that it is untrue that it happens in Saudi, does it?

I think he has drained the swamp - so he can fill it with more alligators - his friends have been complaining they can't borrow money. That's the sort of money that led to the sub prime mortgage collapse in 2007. The guy at the forefront then, Gary Cohen of Lehman brothers, is now the chief economic advisor to President Donald Trump and Director of the United States National Economic Council! The guy who most people blame for the financial crisis world wide.

Obama brought in the Dodd Frank Act to keeps the banks in check. That's going.

What am I closed minded about exactly? My refusal to see President PussyGrabber as anything other than a facist toddler with the IQ of a potato? You have got me there alright, bang to rights.

No dear, you are confused. The point was that is happens in Saudi AND other places. You posted that because it happens in other places a pp was misinformed when she said it happened in Saudi. (nobody at any point suggested that was the only place it occurred)
And you failed to understand the original point that Saudi is NOT on the banned list even though such things happen there, and terrorists from there have killed a lot of americans. And why was that? Because Pres PussyGrabber has some businesses there!

I know plenty about Saudi and other countries. I worked at Southall Black Sisters and am currently with another international group. That organisation has been following the culture of stoning of women (and men) in that part of the world for more than 25 yrs. I don't need a screechy virtue-signaller with little useful knowledge of anything to explain that SA is not on the list. Those 7 countries do not cooperate with US INS when information on their countrymen are requested by USA Immigration. Odd as it may seem, Saudi and a few others do, and that is why they are not on the list. It's not to do with anything else.

That was the PURPOSE of the Obama list. It can be reviewed and added to if cooperation stops.

Sure, OK. That's likely. Definitely the fact that your man has business interests in the more dangerous (to Americans, not to themselves, since he claimed that was the entire point of the ban) countries yet they are not on the list is entirely coincidental.

Did you choke on your drink when Obama drew up the list and at one stage I believe, stopped the processing of visas for Iraqi refugees into USA for 6 months. Trump should have given advance warning of the suspension for sure, but I cannot see what he's done differently to Obama.

Politics will always be a dirty business, but the duty of a president is always to secure the homeland. After that ensure food is available and, if possible jobs. This temporary ban is in place to give the Trump administration a breathing space in which to improve the statutory vetting procedures for all future migrants - economic or asylum.

About what? Pakistan offers similar diabolical punishment but is also not on the 7 country list. Because the list was not drawn up to stop immigration from the worst of the worst.

Saudi is the focus of the post as youhad already stated in a previous post that beheadings took place in other areas that were banned from entering US. You made this one of the reasonings for the ban, not the whole reason, but one.

You then come along and tell me I'm misinformed due to me conveying Saudi is the only country doing stonings. Nowhere in my post does it either allude to this or state it.

I think you need to stop throwing insults as part of your agrument tactics.
