Theresa May - opinions

So over the weekend so so many decent people spoke out about Trump and the Travel Ban from countries with largely Muslim populations (though not those where he has business deals or hotels)..... I'm furious with the actions of the UK PM who instead of standing firm for values and morals seems to be cosying up to this monster and trying to get trade deals going..... is it me or does anyone else think if the UK had remained in the EU - we'd now have David Cameron joining the voices of the sane to condemn Trump. Is this what the UK has now become...... I've seen tweets of all the anti Trump visit marches and am so proud of those people getting out to have their voices heard...... and the online petition..... again British people standing up like they have done so many times before. Does anyone else think also that Theresa May is leading this country down the wrong path and that in this instance regardless of what you think about Brexit it would be better for us to be in the EU? Didn't Cameron warn of this also?

Er that link doesn't tell me anything beyond our current trading position with the us.
How does that change with a trade deal and how does it compare to now? Is it actually going to be any better Hmm

Now that's embarrassing, and it'll teach me not to just read the headlines dawn. But I still hold by the other figure.

I think she is handling it well. It is a very difficult situation

On what basis? She's approaching it from very much a hard Tory position. She talked about unity but she's going for a hard Brexit.

Ah now people are seeing the light. When I voiced concerns about her becoming PM back in June last year,I was shouted down (not by MNers I might add). Now the tide has turned......

Several Muslim countries don't allow Israeli citizens into their countries (16 I think). Any mass protests on that? No, I thought not.

There certainly have been protests. However, these countries are not noted for supposedly leading the Free World and being a beacon for countries to follow. If that is your best argument, it's a poor one: these ghastly ME regimes discriminate against Israel and other countries, so the US ( and the UK as the US's lapdog, must stoop to their level as far as moral behaviour goes.) Incidentally, one of the worst countries is Saudi Arabia, where Bin Laden and the 9/11 bombers hailed from originally - why are they not on Trumps banned list? (Because he has business dealings there, and both the US and UK have lucrative Arms sales to them.)

BTW did you personally protest about the way Middle Eastern countries treat Israel?

I don't like Israeli policies.... however that's hardly surprising when you see exactly what's going on in that country.
