Furious: Girl Guides now admitting boys

Sorry for DM link but this is important. Brownies and Guides are going to admit boys if they identify as girls. Girls will have to share 'single sex' facilities including tents & changing rooms with them. Parents won't be told. Oh, and men who identify as women can become Brownie & Guide leaders, where they will get to supervise girls in those tents, changing rooms etc.

How is this possible? There is an epidemic of sexual abuse. We are still in the fall-out of Rotherham, Saville etc yet we are enabling men to have access to every safe space for girls. AIBU?

That poster was referring to a leader taking a male child on a camp with them, parents would have to be informed even if the child was only 4.

Nobody here has suggested that "little Jack" or his peers would benefit from his segregation from females.
Just that he is not female.
He can appear "feminine"
He can wear pink and play with dolls (or not) and I will defend his right to do so
He can be in groups and classes and clubs with females
He can be raised and taught and cad for by females (and males of course)
But HE is not a female.

So should the children have to undergo a physical exam to check the child claiming to be a girl is actually a girl? Or maybe the parents will have to sign a form saying their daughter does not have a penis? What if someone suggests a girl is acting to much like a tom boy and must secretly be a boy, should they be thrown out?

It's bad enough to they are only letting in trans people maybe the guide organisation should be brought into the 21st century.

Scouts and guides are two different organisations. They are not affiliated with each other in anyway.

Scouts made the decision to accept girls as a result of falling numbers. On the other hand guides has never had a falling numbers problem therefore they've never needed to accept boys.

No idea why people always insist on sticking guides and scouts together. They've got nothing to do with each other.

The new rules say yes, girls who behave like boys and don't believe have a woman gender (which is every adult women I have spoken to about this issue) will be thrown managed out of guides. Angry

As for what happened to equal rights, well um, it's yet to have happened. The world is not an equal place and never has been. Incidentally that's why all female groups are important and why they should remain single sex.

Because lots of special snowflakes need to be segregated from half the population due to their special circumstances of being born without a penis, which we know is the root of all abuse all evil.

More widely, women are starting to organise and push back. Next stage of Gina Miller's camaign is 24th Feb, then the Gov mt will take evidence.

In the States women's groups are suing - we can stop Gender Self ID in the UK if we ACT collectively. Look at the women's marches, women are reradicalizing. This is the biggest threat to women's rights in a century. LibFems have dropped the ball, and as they no platform old guard feminists they are not hearing what they need to hear.

So us 'big sisters' need to step in. Learn about this. Get involved. Write letters. Talk to your MP. Take your daughter out of the Guides if you feel you can't accept this. Say why.

We need to ACT in my view. There are lots of powerful rich men behind the trans lobby plus drug companies. So we need to be smarter.

Its called your own bedroom. None one is forcing any girl to get into the same bed as anyone else.

And no one has ever forged one of those? What about migrants and refugees who dont have birth certificates and cant get one?

I really love the way we raise our daughters to be assertive, have high self esteem, respect their own boundaries, say they are strong and to stand up for themselves. Except in this case. Where, no matter what they want, the matter how they feel, no matter what we told them, they do what a handful of men tell them or they get out.
