I recon there must be loads of famous people on here! Holly Willoughby - totally on here. Everyone from Loose Women - here! Are you a famous? If you are then NC and then post and NC back - I'd love to know!

I would hate to be famous. I'm slightly known in my town due to my work and even that is enough for me! My ideal would be to be known for my works not my face, e.g getting more work published.

I don't get star struck either and it annoys me a lot. I used to get so irritated at a Christian conference I went to as a teen when at the end of an evening people would go and badger the band or speaker despite having just heard a talk on e.g not judging people, focusing on 'higher things,' etc...

It's also just occurred to me that last year I worked for 10 months with someone who used to be in a very famous 80s band. I expect you'd all know him. He was very low-key about it and very nice, if totally chauvinistic towards girls he didn't know... Hmm

I'd know a Suffolk accent anywhere. My DS2 is a tractor boy (born at west Suffolk hospital). (DS1 Essex boy born in Colly) Be proud of your accent - it's a kind and heartwarming accent and always makes me smile.

I'm Jeremy Clarkson.

I trawl mumsnet in search of the, 'Who is your repulsive celebrity crush?' threads.

Come on ladies... you know you would.

Notmuchtosay1 · 16/01/2017 21:40

Not sure I believe the famous people. But who knows? 😜

PigletJohn · 16/01/2017 21:57

I'm well known in Hull. Ronnie Pickering lives in Hull.

Coincidence?

CloneClubSestra · 16/01/2017 21:58

I grew up with politician parent. Put me off fame/celebrity for life. Being visually recognised was frightening imo. Also the horrid things people would do because they disagreed with the political views of my parent were grim. I worked hard to disappear Grin My maiden name is googleable despite the net being invented after the death of my parent - & a wiki page exists for them. No idea how. They've been dead a looong time.

Emmerdalefan · 16/01/2017 22:00

A very famous material girl owns the neighbouring farm to us. She is very down to earth and definitely not a virgin

Dizzybintess · 16/01/2017 22:02

I'm Chesney Hawkes's Mole!

Dizzybintess · 16/01/2017 22:07

I used to live in the house that was used for Uncle Bryns in Gavin and Stacey and met all the cast: I even got to chat to James Corden on several occasions and he took the piss out of me in a jokey way.... I'm so glad he has made it so big! And my "bacon factor" connection to pretty much any celeb ever is vastly reduced! 😂

HalfaFishFingerAndTwoPeas · 16/01/2017 22:12

Emerdale katie price?

Oliversmumsarmy · 16/01/2017 22:15

morgainfae · 16/01/2017 22:17

Thanks lovely. It did make some nice American lady say she wanted to adopt us haha x

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 16/01/2017 22:19

I think she means Madonna.

Bluntness100 · 16/01/2017 22:23

I think madonna owns a farm in the states.

Emmerdalefan · 16/01/2017 22:25

She does in deed own one in the states also

KateMiddletonsOtherMum · 16/01/2017 22:28

I do not have a famous Son In Law at all. HO NO.

FrenchDucksSayCoinCoin · 16/01/2017 22:36

I'm not famous, nor do I know anyone famous. However, I would like to put in my bid for the most tenuous link... My Mum's ex's son's girlfriend's dad was very famous in the 70s/80s.
I've not met him.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 16/01/2017 22:37

I am The Walrus...

Benedikte2 · 16/01/2017 22:42

I used to work with James Corden's mum. She's the nicest person you could imagine and James is very lucky to have such supportive parents. In those days he was just becoming successful/famous.

Benedikte2 · 16/01/2017 22:47

I once played the 3 degrees of separation game and found I am 3 degree of separation from the nurse who washed Prince Charles' bottom (when he was in hospital after an accident) and 3 degrees from Harry's bodyguard. The question usually doesn't come up for discussion but when it does the results are amazing and it shows you what a small world it is.

VanillaSugar · 16/01/2017 22:52

My DH is a very famous Hollywood actor. He's always pictured looking a bit sad, but that's because he is a private man and doesn't want the world knowing about us.

MadameJosephine · 16/01/2017 22:56

I'm named on a Wikipedia page, does that count?

Newfor17 · 16/01/2017 22:58

I'm very much 'always the bridesmaid never the bride' of the fame world.

Went to school with Jon from S Club 7, a very good friends sister is married to a premiership footballer (who defies the reputation!), my uncles gf left him for the adventures of stevie v, oh has had lunch with Tom Hardy (had to google) Aidan Turner, Dawn French, Mrs Daniel Craig (can't remember her name) amongst others.

I will never be famous, and I'm happy with that Grin

oneleggedfatbird · 16/01/2017 23:07

I'm a teeny bit famous, my Oh is too. It's really weird signing autographs!

oneleggedfatbird · 16/01/2017 23:11

I'm a teeny bit famous, my Oh is too. It's really weird signing autographs! Anyone normal won't have heard of me though!
